He's a funny one all of half a dozen appearances yet everyone has fond memories of him.

I seem to remeber him saying he was staying and then Liverpool came in and obviously he had to go, it was certainly a move he would have been mad to turn down. Don't think Les has dropped the ball here, Gallagher seemed to be going backwards until this loan to Blackburn got him firing again, people would have been quick to criticise if he'd signed a new lucrative long term contract last year. It won't be up to us with regards to letting him go the ball is in his court, he will be entering the last season of his contract and is coming off the back of a decent loan season so he is sure to get offers elsewhere. I hope he stays and being realistic I think he will but if I were him I'd be asking for a rise and some sort of game time promise.

Question is will he sign it or will he decide it's time to chance his arm elsewhere? I think your right if JROD moves on he will sign but if there isn't an obvious opening for him I can see him heading for the hills!

Samba is a funny one he looked excellent for Blackburn back in the day and then de-railed his own career in pursuit of money going first to Russia and then the odd transfer to QPR. He's to old and too much of a crock these days for us to be taking a gamble on him! Can't decide if the boards itk posters have all got together to have a laugh at our expense would be nice to finally drag this one over the line!

He is into the last year of his contract this summer so unless we can convince him to sign a new contract which will require some sort of promise of first team opportunities then he will be sold. Amusingly Everton have been sniffing according to the press as well which would be a real surprise given how Koeman ignored him when he was here.

Steve Basham scored one for us I thought we might really have found a player he had a decent career but never hit the heights! Oddly Stuart Ripley only scored the one as well shame he turned out to be totally past it when we signed him I remember being vaguely excited by his arrival!
