Not over yet but it will be as soon as Buttler or Stokes are out. This partnership is the last chance.

Well we're about to see if you're right. Behind the rate, need a big, big over.

NZ will be gutted after those two lucky sixes.

That’s brilliant. You need proper bottle to deliver like that. MBEs all round.

England, ( with some help from South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, and Barbados ), win a penalty shoot out.

    England win by zero runs.

Absolutely fantastic stuff but NZ better on the day and will be gutted to lose that.

Becoming world champions by a tie is the most English thing ever.

Absolutely brilliant, knight the lot of them.

Fantastic match which would have been deemed as too ludicrous to be fiction.

I feel sorry for Ben Stokes's dad. Your son is Mom and ensures that his team wins but you support the opposition !

Two bad umpiring decisions and a bit of bad luck ruined it for NZ similar to Saints where often we don't seem to have the rub of the green.

However the All Blacks usually have the rub of the green

Yep we've never had a bad decision against us, never. About time our sporting sides had a rub of the green again.
The freak 6 was amazing, to happen in a final as well. The catch on the rope was not luck for us but a lack of thinking by Boult, he must have known the rope was there but I suppose he was just thinking he was winning the match and forgot.
New Zealand used their appeal up needlessly and so when they needed the chance to review it was gone. Their fault nobody else's IMO

Great match between equals but it’s not proper cricket if they’re not wearing whites

Agree with that and reflects what Warne said. However, as he also pointed out, England have been the best side in the world in this format for 3-4 years. Would feel gutted if I was NZ with the two sixes but the throw hitting the bat was a 1 in 1000 fluke and Boult lost his bearings on the catch. The use of Guptill's review cost them later. Williamson is a class act though as captain and best batsman in the world. Morgan, Bayliss, Farbrace, Strauss and Giles have done an amazing job to create this environment since being dumped out of the last WC in 2015.

One of the great endings to a game and will be talked about for generations.
