S-Clarke Posted 11 October, 2009 Share Posted 11 October, 2009 Jesus, that would screw us over if he went. You can see the difference he's made so far. I'm sure if it's serious from Wycombe though, he'd love to dive back into management.

Matthew Le God Posted 11 October, 2009 Share Posted 11 October, 2009 As he signed a 3 year deal very recently the compensation figure would be quite large for Wycombe. Unless he has a manager job release clause.
dubai_phil Posted 11 October, 2009 Share Posted 11 October, 2009 As he signed a 3 year deal very recently the compensation figure would be quite large for Wycombe. Unless he has a manager job release clause. Compensation clause - quick take the money oops sorry had a relapse there, forgot we are under new onwership. Meanwhile a sensible comment. Smaller town, in some respects a yo-yo team, good platform for up and coming managers - Martin O'Neill, bad platform for up and coming managers - Tony Adams. Probably better opportunities will come his way as our results improve. Ipswich for instance

VectisSaint Posted 11 October, 2009 Share Posted 11 October, 2009 I think this is looking more likely. http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/4675614.Gorman_tipped_for_Blues_return/ Seems far more likely than Downes to me, after all JG has unfinished business with Wycombe having left largely as a result of the very uinfortunate death of his wife. Perhaps he will ask Jason Dodd to be his assistant. Good luck to JG if this comes about, once upon a time he would have been good for us too, it was just very bad timimg when he actually got the chance. ottery st mary Posted 11 October, 2009 Share Posted 11 October, 2009 Perfect post to learn the game for Jan and Mark our own Dutch treat..Given a couple of seasons..They may even make the grade....Would need a Director of Football for guidance.....Rupes, could even buy the club with all his dosh...I could see him putting money into a football club......Hope he befriends the supporters. I've put their names forward as experienced football peeps....I wonder if Michael Wilde will go in as Rupes partner......IF they are are still mates. Puuurfect opportunity for this little team.....Mr Askham even. I hope our backroom staff....Downes, Wilkins and Murdoch stay with the mighty Saints as we are going places. Deano6 Posted 12 October, 2009 Share Posted 12 October, 2009 I've re-read it myself and there's no mention of Roy Keane until Ottery brought him up. AFoM made a fair point and then everyone jumped on him. I don't get this forum sometimes. FWIW I don't think Keegan would go to Wykham, he's just had a big payout and could afford to wait for a bigger club (with money to spend!)

What with his payout and all, Keegan could surely find somewhere better to eat than the Wykeham, especially as it's just a shadow of its former self these days. Hell, he may even chose to eat somewhere other than Winchester - he's got millions FFS.
