Southend sell out?

All we need is huddersfield to slip up in one of their next 2 games (draw/defeat) and as long as we win all our games up to southend, it will be decided on the last day.

it should be a good attendance though, i guess we'll do the lap at the end with the JPT.

..but maybe we should do that at the carlisle game ;)

I think the idea was to give us all a sneak preview and potentially boost sales over the close season.

Can't remember the last time it happened but it was definately the norm for quite a while and gave the last home game of the season a bit more interest - particularly if there was nothing left to play for.

In any case, probably not something NC and Co are aware of, just like early sales of next years season tickets.;)

I wonder if they will continue the tradition of wearing the new kit on the last home game of the season and give us a glimpse of the 125th anniversary sash?

That could only happen if the sponsor is remaining the same. It is not.

Flybe wouldn't be happy that they paid to have their logo on show for 46 League games and only have it on show for 45.

Do we still give the 3,200 to away teams? Since Leeds both Charlton and Southend have had on their website that we will only give them a max of 2,300 tickets.

I think the final 900 are on guaranteed sale terms, which with Southend's current financial position, they can't afford to take the gamble on.

No they didn't. It was a one off kit for the game and they won't be wearing it next season.

No im prety sure ther wearin dat next season, why wud krappa agree to make a shirt for one game??? Not a great business idea, then again it is pompey

It's a great idea if you are desperate for cash and have no morals, most people will want the shirt from the FA cup game and will also buy next seasons shirt anyway.

There should only be a fecking pitch invasion on special occasions like surviving relegation or reaching the playoffs on the last day.... Stupid youths and Northam c**ts...

A pitch invasion when nothing happens of note on the last day is an embarassment and disgrace to what Markus has done for us...

Sorry did the Itchen, Chapel and Kingsland all stay in their seats at the burnley game?

I seem to remember that there were just as many fans invading the pitch from the Itchen and even the Kingsland corner,as there were from the Northam.

By being so disrespectful to us fans in the Northam, you make yourself look a right t-w-a-t.

Even that is pretty tinpot, considering you're not going up yet...

a pitch invasion should only be for excitement, not just for the heck of it. All derby fans should be banned from it. That was a dark moment in my life, seeing the scally wags so overjoyed. Shouldn't really be one at our's if we finish 7th. You think there will be?

Didn't it only happen twice? The last game at the Dell v Arsenal in 2001, and v Bolton at Home in 2003?

Just for the record, it's actually in the Premier League's rules that teams are allowed to wear their new home kit for the last home game of the season. Chelsea will be doing exactly that (it has red on the collar) in the next week or so.

Bloody ridiculous that it happens, even more so that it's permitted, even more again that they actually encourage it.

Flybe meanwhile have had the entire JPT run out of us this season and the additional publicity THAT brought, plus if it was a problem Markus could just lob them some cash.

Shame is it will all be pigged up by a pitch invasion and the once traditional showing of our appreciation of the players, and a possible showing of the the JPT trophy will go straight out the window.

Not to mention the shedloads of cash it'll cost the club to ensure it doesn't happen.

I would love it if we saw a glimpse of the new kit. Although it would probably need to have flybe on it to honour the contract.

p*mpey did it for their fa cup semi. Looked awful. Made by Krappa.

Those Kappa logos on the arms looked gash.

Chill out those old enough to remember the old days at the dell there was always a pitch invasion at the final whistle at the last home game, this was whether we won lost or drew and in the main we had little to celebrate
