Gemmel Posted 8 July, 2010 Share Posted 8 July, 2010 Its a beautiful thing and whilst it's time may be short on the main board, there will be a welcoming reception in the Lounge. On the very anniversary of the pompey take over thread, it is only right and fitting that Mr Jacksons name reappears. Bring on the petting zoo

dubai_phil Posted 8 July, 2010 Share Posted 8 July, 2010 I am afraid that I have some very sad news to report. It would appear that the initial efforts at cross breeding a Chicken with a Monkey for the long awaited petting zoo appear to have not gone so well. The good news is that Orville the Champion Rooster is expected to make a full physical recovery following his time with Edna former the PG Tips superstar. Unfortunately Orvilles' Psychiatrist believes it will be many many months before Orville can be persuaded to try again.

Strangley though, until recently there was at least three directors listed there, they seem to have now disappeared and the only contact details available is mark@ibase - strange eh...! http://www.ibaseuk.com/index.html Mind you if you want a boat that's the place to go, they can buy you one of those too...!!! Guided Missile Posted 8 July, 2010 Share Posted 8 July, 2010 Speaking to Meridian Tonight, Marc Jackson was asked what his background is and who was behind his consortium. He told the programme... 'I was trained by Xerox, many many many years ago. I'm a business strategist, many people say I'm a photocopying salesman, which I always find quite amusing.' 'I actually have been in the past, been heavily involved in the fitting out of Southampton football club stadium. Obviously I have an IT background, sales background, but also I have had involvement at Southampton Academy and scouting for many, many years.' 'To give you an instance I was involved in the scouting of Adam Lallana from Bournemouth sadly, to Southampton.' 'I have many, many contacts in football, I have many contacts abroad as well, in American MLS football as well as in Dubai.' 'So it's a mixture of many many things, all put together with a vision for a football club and we are going to drop the blueprint into here, but all will be revealed.' When asked if it was his money he was investing in AFC Bournemouth, Jackson smiled and said... 'It is a consortium' When pushed on who is in the consortium, he added... 'That is, something that really and honestly will never be answered properly and completely, but the truth of the matter is, there will be answers to that to an extent in tomorrow's (Thursday) press conference.' Guided Missile Posted 8 July, 2010 Share Posted 8 July, 2010 We have working experiences of distressed situations with football and already have relationships with mainline administators. Our value add is that these activities can be carried out in complete confidence until engagement commences, and at the same time we can offer the services of a team of consultants which includes ex premiership managers and directors who can act as a transition team during any operation to ensure stability while new management structures and processes are implemented ensuring that your purchase hits the ground running. Can anyone help with a translation of the above passage from Jackson's website? What a crock....

Dark Munster Posted 8 July, 2010 Share Posted 8 July, 2010 This is a bit scary .......The 4% have some explaining to do http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4459018.Swiss_group_arrive_for_Saints_talks/ Have a look at this comment from last year:  blueballoo, Gosport says... 2:51am Fri 26 Jun 09 I am a Pompey fan but rather than indulge in pointless bickering I'll ask you a few questions: 1. Do you honestly think you could appeal that SLH is distinct from SFC when SFC was only able to pay last months wages owing to exclusivity funds from SLH? 2. Do you think a High Court Judge is going to agree that SFC is a solvent going concern when it has again failed to pay its staffs wages? The rule was created to stop solvent clubs being taken down by insolvent parent companies. Is SFC solvent? No. The bloke banging on about Delia Smith yesterday was hilarious - Delia Smith is a chef who publishes cookbooks. Does SLH publish a cookbook? No. Does SLH have any other business tthan SFC? No. Do the league have the right to interpret this rule according to the spirit? Yes. Would the High Court accept the right of an insolvent football club to escape a deduction because of 'natural justice'? No, because natural justice is on the side of the league - you ARE bankrupt. Secondly, you have to go the court wth clean hands to claim natural justice, you are trying to use a legal manouevre to avoid getting a penalty that APPLIES to you.
