Yes, but then it has (Robinson) next to his name, so he was subbed on and then subbed off. Either injured or was abysmal.

No. Count the number of players. Trialist was in the starting 11, then got subbed. They just didn't write it very well.

Andy Robinson is the under 18 captain. As with the rest of the subs, the format used shows that the trialist started the game and was replaced by Andy Robinson, Joe Curtis started and was replaced by Callum Chambers and Jordace Holder-Spooner started and was replaced by Jake Sinclair. Ashby Saint Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 Did you not notice the transfer window is shut and no club can buy anyone? Even the loan window is soon to close (I think next Thursday). I think the closing of the loan window is the most significant. I think that a lot of clubs are getting around the transfer window by signing places on-loan with an agreement to buy. The transfer window only seems to work for the big clubs in the Premier League who are playing in Europe and have to agree squad lists. So I think that we could in theory "buy" someone if the club were prepared to discuss a "sale" and then agree a loan. But it looks like that window may also be closing... Matthew Le God Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 we have no money. I have no source, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if we spend without selling in January. Then why have the club within the last dew days submitted further plans for additional training ground improvements on top of those announced in 2009? Matthew Le God Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 You could use that either way: We've just spent on the training ground so clearly we have money. We've just spent on the training ground so won't have much left for transfers. I don't know which is true or how much has been spent. The current training ground is more than adequate for League One. What these developments do is put the club on par with Premier League clubs. Saints in terms of facilities had stood still for about 5/6 years and have been overtaken by many. You don't upgrade a League One clubs training ground to the proposed levels, unless you also intend to invest in the playing squad. Would make no sense.
Matthew Le God Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 Lots of things at Saints make no sense. We upgraded the training ground and employed Clive Woodward while we were broke. It depends if the Chairman is thinking long term or short term. He may well think better facilities means getting the most out of your squad, your development of players etc. Kind of what Lowe thought and something I agreed about. It's sensible long term if we want to achieve anything, BUT it doesn't mean there is money to spend on players. Cortese may well think we've spent enough, or simply prioritise the upgrades over signings. Let's hope we get both. I really hope they spend in January, it'll push us on at the right time. We either risk it going wrong and having to sell, or carry on without spending and probably have to sell anyway. I'd like to see Lallana and Chamberlain here for a few years, not excelling in the top flight for other teams like so many others. Adkins has already given large hints that they will spend in January in a number of interviews on Saints Player(including todays). Cortese reportedly told those in the Itchen concourse after a game that they will be spending. I don't see where your doubts are coming from... Matthew Le God Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 I meant the NPC TBF If they spend in real life in the January 2011 transfer window then the head researcher and I will consider making them have a sugar daddy again. At the moment we need more evidence. Sugar daddy ticked in FM10 made it unrealistic, not a challenge and far too easy.
