dune Posted 15 February, 2011 Author Share Posted 15 February, 2011 (edited) Thought gobsh!t teens would be perfect recruiment fodder for the EDF? It's EDL i think ur refering to, unless ur being ver very funny and substituting the L for and F because F stands for Fascist. Listen up mate, the more you lot use these labels the more people who are genuine patriotes, i.e hate to see islamist extremists not only dissing the country that took them in but sneering at our war dead, the more we'll become immune to this label. For me it's water off a ducks back and i'm in the right and therefore i'll defend my stance come what may, but there are others who shy away from agreeing with me because of the flak they know they get. In the end they'll say F**CK THAT and they still by their convictions and when that happens you're obsession with labels (whilst you simultaneously ignore what is happening a choose not to debate) you'll be caught wrong footed. The time is coming closer when British people say enough is enough and what will you do when they do that and you know that you could have engaged them prior to try to mediate a resolution. Guess what mate - Question Time audiences aren't the real Britain. I see the real Britain every day and that aint it. And do you know why I also stick by my convictions, because I know (i don't think - i know) that i'm not some social outcast. Believe it or not I occasionally wrench myself from my PC and when I do I sometimes talk to people. You won't believe this but i very very rarely meet your gang... In fact i doubt they exist outside of middle class hobby socialist holier than thou i'm gonna have an easy life in public service admin circles. RedAndWhite91 Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 Last season my season ticket was in block 42 and it was class (apart from the 'PORK PORK' morons being not far behind me, and they are adults, not teenagers, I might add), but this season, due to spending all my money in Magaluf and having to wait ages to get another ST, I moved to block 41. The majority of the morons around me are probably aged 40-50, they do my head in. Dune I normally agree with most of the stuff you say (surprisingly) but the way you tar all teenagers with the same "cocky, arrogant, no respect for elders" brush is utterly ridiculous. Tokyo-Saint Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 Haha, no it was a genuine typo! I do like the response though… What was the original topic? People you don’t like so we are going to take an area by force? I’m in. Should I wear a uniform? Maybe something black and tan? You may know the general public and they might all be right wing as well but then again the general public watch Xfactor and fight on the streets on Saturday nights. You may be surprised that on some of the topics I agree. Some others are mental and just a cover for general racism. However my point still stands. The type of people that get completely ****ed and act like knobs are not that different to the people that go on EDL marches. The fact that they are teens and easily influenced makes them perfect for you to recruit. I am therefore right. Or do you just want to march with them and not watch football with them? (By the way, some of them are also close to the people that come round trying to get you to switch your electrical supplier as well!)

dune Posted 15 February, 2011 Author Share Posted 15 February, 2011 So youre going to be like a terrace guardian angel, are you going to wear a red bomber jacket and beret with loads of badges on it. No, but when a teen is out or order tap him on the shoulder and explain why he is out of order. This isn't a football problem, it's a society problem. I won't say in my day i was an angel - i wasn't because I knew I could do what I liked and get away with it. Go back to the previous generation and there was structure and respect in our society. There's no reason why we can't have that in the Northam and as i've said it won't just wrestle the stand back from the idiots, but it'll actually help them become better people. You need to get over yourself. Of course you were never a gobby teen and as for weirdo adult - lets not go there eh? All i'm saying is that the Northam (mainly block 42) has become past a joke. When they barracked the Saints fans in block 43 they were too thick consider that block 43 was Man Utd fans so it's reasonable to conclude that a fair amount in 43 for Carlisle were just normal walk up fans that had gone there because other areas of the ground were taken by those with Man U/Carlisle twinned tickets. In any case we don't boo our our fans - partiularly in said circumstances and I would wager that most of those in the firing line for the teen (moronic adult) barrage had been to see Saints more times than the little runts had had hot dinners. A posh, right wing, fox hunting badger baiting toff who has become a characterure of himself. Telling people who sit in a certain area what they can and can’t sing. Liebherrs song = Good Cortese song = Bad My old man said be a Pompey fan = Good Pompey fan on a string = Bad And to top it off, the song Nazi doesn’t even go to many games! Dune, take it from someone who does go to games (and travels at great expense to go), the Northam does have idiots and weirdos standing in it but they are from a wide age range. Perhaps you can ask the people who have frequented the Northam since SMS if they, like me, agree that since we've been slipping down the leagues and prices have dropped, that more chavvy little ****tards occupy the stand compared to back in the Prem days, and it no longer has the buzz that it used to. Lord Duckhunter Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 I have no problem with people swearing, standing, singing stupid songs or doing what the hell they like in the Northam. If you dont like it, go and sit somewhere else. I dont like it, but believe it or not can find another seat well away from it. Surely a fan base should be made up of all sorts of people of all ages and all social classes. My 2 eldest are decent boys, but they love it in the Northam, my youngest who was brought up the same way, hates it, so we sit elsewhere. Who are you to tell people what to sing and how to support the club. It's not a coporate day out, but a passionate working class sport.

In seriousness though (yeh right) block 41 did used to be a good mix of diehards of mainly 25 - 40 age range. Of course relegation from the prem killed it just like everywhere else but it was alright and not like block 42.

BadgerBadger Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 OMG tw*ts at football ground shocker, ***ts go to the game and pay there money and sing some silly songs. Some of you lot spend more time disecting the fan base than is healthy. BTW Soooo glad I don't sit near any of them, but I do preside in block 42, blimey maybe I'm a ***t. Dr Who? Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 I had my season ticket in block 42 from 2001-2005, and I found it the best for atmosphere, and a laugh as you had the banter with the away fans. I still see this as a big thing of the whole matchday experience. But even though I have not been in the Northam since 2005 I still think you lose a lot of the match atmosphere when you do not have the close banter with away fans, but I still love watching Saints. I still love to sing at games and I have sat in the Chapel, Itchen and Kingsland, but the best atmosphere has been when I was in the kingsland corner. But when I was in the Northam end in those 5 seasons I loved it and loved matchday and as I say the banter and singing is still a big part of football for me!! Saint_clark Posted 15 February, 2011 Share Posted 15 February, 2011 I sit down near the front of 41 (row S) it's quality down there, if you can get over having to sit down every now and again due to the stewards.
