Bart could be facing major surgery

Quite. He has the quality to be our No.1 keeper but he's been unlucky in that he's been behind a lot of experienced, quality keepers since he's been at the club.

30 odd games in 6 seasons including a loan spell with Barnsley.Must be bitterly disappointed with his time here.Still 23 is young for a keeper.

Really disappointed about this as looking more and more as though Bart is going to be a very injury prone goalie as the years go on - Chris Kirkland springs to mind as a comparison - which will severely hamper his ability to become a top class player as he will never enjoy a decent run of form before he picks up another knock.

Didn't he fail a medical somewhere last summer? Portugal or Greece or something like that.Probably not related to this injury though.

Why dont the OS keep the injuries page updated anymore, its always useful to know how injured players are progressing.

Because those snide and sneaky opposing teams might think of looking there and glane information which could result in our demise.

As if injuries aren't common knowledge to everybody except the fans.

Audioboo: Listen to Nigel Adkins talking to BBC Radio Solent about Bartosz Bialkowski's injury #saintsfc #football http://t.co/oV2tuNx

Seems they're relatively in the dark atm about the injury, NA said a few times that they need to wait for the swelling to go down (a few weeks) and then they can properly assess the injury and the course of treatment.

The Solent bloke asked whether it was a knock in training and NA said something along the lines of it being a recurring problem and that there was no trauma to cause the injury.

Worrying really but i'm sure our physio team will be able to cope, after all they've had plenty of practice with Connolly over the past few years ;)

Agreed, Connolly could be one of our most effective strikers, but spends too much time in the treatment room.
