Turkish Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 It seems many of you dont have any but i am sure some of you do. What do you do when you are not obsessing about Saints? I've recently got a new job, i wouldn't say it's an interest as such but it is a definite career jump and will involve a lot of client entertainment in the future so that will take up a lot of my time, to be fair i enjoy entertaining so not a bad thing to do really taking punters out for meals, drinks, strippers etc. I also enjoy the gym, playing 5 a side, Krav Maga, going for the odd pint here and there, photography, started playing golf and clothes shopping probably take up most of my time these days. What do you lot do when you are not panicing over the release date of season tickets, worrying about if the new kit has thin stripes or thick ones and dreaming of which unrealistic player we are going to believe totally fatuous rumours and speculation about joining us? Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 To help get the ball rolling.... I used to coach youth football until a month ago. I am equally as obsessed with Formula 1 as I am with Saints. I do fitness training with British Military Fitness 3 times a week (although not at the moment as my ankle is rather badly sprained) and bide my time between Coventry and Hereford. Also I spend a bit too much time playing Football Manager.

EastleighSoulBoy Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 Our Son, although that is more a way of life and unconditional love rather than a hobby, he's great to have around. Likewise with my Mrs. I love my soul music so I do a lot of internet based research and own/run a web based fan group. Currently doing some basic, NVQ2, training in I.T. mainly to reinforce my PC based work. Also spend a fair amount of time fixing things around the home, painting, decorating etc.
Colinjb Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 I've seen this mentioned a few times now, is it any good? It's excellent. The sessions last an hour and you really do work hard in them. You start with a mobile warm up, then into combinations of shuttle runs, circuit training and various other sit up, burpee type repetitions. Best thing to do would be to go along for the free first lesson that they allow, there are three standards of workout so even if you are not that fit you'll be able to keep pace. There have been times it's felt really hard work, but i've never walked away from a session thinking i've not enjoyed it.

saintscottofthenortham Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 Play footy on Monday nights which is always a good laugh. Other than that my spare time lately has been working on our first house. I tend to always revert to doing the garden if the weather is alright as I love doing that and it gets me away from feeling like i'm back at work on my time off. Really must get further into my photography over this summer aswell.

Gets to a point when you wish the time away between every other weekend. Many fathers have no say in the matter, even if she is the one to do the dirty and most definately not motherly.....money talks for some however. But anyway, thats for another day. Edited 15 June, 2011 by saint lard

My thoughts are with you here mate. I hate being away from my other half's little one, she isn't even my own little girl but it really hurts being away from her during the week while I work. Love that little girl as though she's my own daughter. The madness of these things is that there are many good men who would walk through minefields to see their children and a minority who couldn't care less... naturally it's the minority that ruin things for everyone in terms of reputation. Little girls actual Daddy lives just 10 miles away from her in Herefordshire, but only sees her once a month or so. Madness.

Recently, the Giants vs Eagles game last season was voted game of the season, and I was there!YES! Great thread by the way, I do wonder what I do with myself when the football season's over. I never remember in past years what I've got upto. Should probably spend some time with the missus or something. Anyway, as for me, gym, cinema, cooking, rowing (regatta season at present, so that keeps me busy some weekends), holidays and counting down the days until our first pre-season friendly! landford.saint Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 My interests are family first. Lucky Mrs. LS loves saints too. CWD Posted 15 June, 2011 Share Posted 15 June, 2011 My parents' house looks over Stokes Bay golf course so I try to get a few games in every now and again when I'm down from University. Cricket is my second great sporting love, after saints, so I try to get to the Rose Bowl as often as I can, or to watch Kent if I'm at Uni. Other than that, I study Drama and Theatre Studies so I love to perform or watch theatre. I have my own comedy group and we specialise in early 20th century slapstick (laurel and Hardy type stuff) and we're looking to go professional with that within the next couple of years. I really enjoy researching the great comics of the last century, Tommy Cooper, Max Miller, The Two Ronnies... all timeless comics
