Adkins to look at Saints for transfer targets?

Do you think Adkins will look to Saints for transfers in the Summer, and if so will NC allow him to?

Not sure, if they go down they will only be going for fringe players anyway, same as if they stay up actually.

(Provided we stay up) I think many of our fringe players (not PL standard) will leave in the summer. As others have mentioned: Sharpe, Chaplow, Richardson, Fox, Martin, Butterfield, De Ridder; possibly even the likes of Hoiveld or Fonte if we bring in better CBs? I would think going to Reading would be good moves for any of them.

Then, he may even look to loan some of our promising youngsters like Reeves, Stephenson or Chambers.

Who knows? But I wish him well; just not at our expense!

If he gets his 30 million kitty that's being tossed around, who knows? I'm sure there's more than a few players in our squad that any championship team would love. (On the possibility that Reaidng get relegated.) If Nige saves them then we've thrown away a true genius.

Will you feck off to a Reading forum? Just for me?

"Adkins calls a surprise press conference to announce his first new signing as Reading manager. He is pleased to announce Barry Sanchez is joining the Reading team as principal tactician, internet moderator and head of the transfer department with immediate effect. He hopes his years of valuable saints web experience will be the step up Reading need to push for Europe next season"

As shocking as this may be to you, BS has only been on this forum for a mere 4 months - or so he would have us believe. I know, I know, it does seem like a lifetime!!!!

N.B. Yes, I am obviously dismissing any rumours re his previous entities such as Cheese on Toast, Dune and Stanley. 'They' were all banned for life and there is no way the admins would let 'them' back just to pocket another fiver. No siree!!!!

How very noble of you, loyalty is a rare thing in this modern game!

Over 2000 posts in a mere 4 months is experience enough, like having a new signing play every game regardless of his history!

I think the most likely are: KD, GDP, RC and BS.

All would get into Readings first team in the CCC and know what is needed to get promoted. KD was number 1 goalie in the CC championship team of the year - i know he just signed a new contract but that just means we get a fee for him- and he gets to play every week instead of getting splinters waiting for Boruc to get injured, GDP scored 11 in the CCC last year and dominated many otherwise compact CC defences with his physicality, speed and technical skills, plus he has flexibility to pay different roles which is always a good attribute for the manager, whilst for the early part of last season Chappie was our most effective midfielder, meaning he was one of the best of not the best midfielder of his type in the League. Billy Sharp is Billy Sharp- with the right service he will score goals at CCC level.

Those are the four who in my opinion would get playing time under NA at Reading in the CCC. I dont see him buying "maybe" players, they will want to bounce right back with a strong squad added to by a couple or three marquee signings( ours are not marquee signings- they are incredibly solid and guaranteed to do a good job for you in the ccc signings) from outside..

First person i thought of was Billy Sharp.

To Reading.....maybe so, but if NA persists with this compensation claim against Saints .....the price will go up another £2 million.......(in order to balance the books).

....but I was wondering ....Do you think ...he might want to take.....Steve De Ridder?... ;)

Cheese on toast isn't Dune. Not unless dune was an 18 year old lad called Tommy anyway. Don't let that get in the way of your mod slamming though.

Considering he never picked him here, that is highly unlikely.
