Having been a 'follower' of yeovil the past few seasons, more this season then most... I dont see oldham getting anything tonight.

I dont know what I want to see more, yeovil get 3 points and finish highter ( guranteed play offs already ) or for oldham to win and relegate the skates.

Oldham have already cemented a play off place3 :) :toppa:

Guessing you mean Yeovil but yes, they are 7 points clear of Walsall in 7th who only have 2 games left. They may even rest player.

Wouldn't rule anything out in that game, we all remember how random League 1 was. How many times did we go to the likes of Tranmere, Walsall and Colchester and get beat.

Another factor is Yeovil's manager is the Oldham manager's father!

As Yeovil are unlikely to get automatic promotion and are guaranteed a playoff spot, Gary Johnson may take it easy on his son's relegation threatened team.

If Yeovil win tonight they are still very much in with a shout for automatic promotion. Gary Johnson isn't going to tell his team to take it easy, his players would laugh in his face.

An equally interesting game re the Skates is Scunny away to Bury, a win for them will also make it harder for the Skates to escape.

How will any result tonight affect whether the Skates are relegated? Even if they gained enough points on the pitch their points deduction will see to it that they play in League 2 next season, unless of course they are liquidated. In some ways I would prefer them to get enough points to stay up and then be relegated by the points deduction, otherwise the penalty becomes meaningless. Or have I missed something?

People are assuming/hoping that the FL carry the punishment over to next season if they get relegated without the help of the deduction this season.

Well Pompey Down and Bmth looking Favourites to go up to the Championship with the 2-2 between Sheff U and Brentford!

it must have been an embarassment for Pompey fans whenever we finished above them, but to have Bournemouth TWO divisions above them will be something they'll find it hard to live down.

hope he gets the chance to continue with B'mouth when /if they go up.... after his good showing in L1 with us, he never did get a career in the Championship.

Who is going to continue at Bournemouth and why?

Ahum ! ..the thread is entitled .....Lee Barnard......or did you miss the OP?

David, it is you that missed the OP.

Hoping one of our loaned out players can put in a good performance for Oldham tonight and hopefully net the winner. ;)
