"Those fans who purchase tickets for this game will be given priority for any future UEFA Europa League away fixtures this season."

Does this mean people with a ticket for the away leg get priority in future games? Or does it include attending the home leg?

I went to Vitesse at home but am on holiday for Midtjylland, hoping this won't affect my already slim chances of getting a ticket for any future Europa League games should we reach the group stages.

Would assume that it's only away attendance at Vitesse and Midtjylland that will get you priority for future European aways.

To be honest the chances of getting such a small ground in the group stages are a fair bit less.

With only 550 people having that priority anyway it'll be easy enough to give them the first day without even needing to talk about number of aways for group stage.

When it comes down to it, with us likely to be pot 3 if we get through, there will probably be bigger grounds for 2 matches and worst case scenario a similar sized one to Midtjyelland for the other.

The question then is whether they allocate all 3 group games at the same time (when people will want to book up flights etc immediately) or if they'll be phased to take this season's League aways into consideration. I'd be a bit peeved if I couldn't go to later Euro aways because I'd been to all the earlier ones and didn't have the spare cash to go to the Prem aways too!

That wasn't the question I was answering or the point I was making. He asked whether home attendance would be used for future European priority or not.

Obviously it won't, so I expanded the discussion into the likelihood of getting tickets from those and similar criteria.

Not sure whether its worth it...I'd be going on my own anyway which is pretty sad, then not too be able to go to the game is not ideal - also the people who I do know aren't now going, so might just not go.

How many?

1 flight, two single tickets, one there and one back. Travelling Weds morning and returning Saturday morning.

Fair enough. But if you want to sit with/near the Danish Saints and perhaps a few UK fans, there are still tickets in the home end...

But tbf it is the fairest way the club is doing it. It stops everyone with 12+ aways who isn't going buying the tickets and flogging them on to those that are desperate.

As many did for the Vitesse game. (Which i benefited from I will add!)

Does make me wonder if this demand will continue through all three away group games. Thats gonna be a serious amount of money spent if you are following Saints at every game away in Europe

I am not saying its unfair but wish the photographic ID bit was made public before we had to grab flights and trains etc. There are about 20 of us and we all use each others ST priority depending on who wants to go where. A couple of my mates who had higher priority told me I could use their ST numbers as we have done several times in the past. Now I can't do that as I look nothing like them!!!!

I can confirm I'm going to every single Saints Europa League match I can for as long as we last and spending all of my disposable income to do so. And taking the wife to all of them.

It's the bloody Prem aways at £35-£55 a chuck which are the speedbumps in the whole process, making sure I go to enough of them to get tickets to the Euro matches!

Not so sure. The demand is a function of the novelty; the fact that we might be knocked out (compared to the group stages where we're guaranteed three away games); summer holidays; the geographical proximity -not to mention stadium size on the supply side. Quite a few of those factors should ease if we make it to the group stages..

Which will benefit the fans who have actually put the commitment in and have genuinely gone to the games themselves instead of just lettings others use their ticket. Don't get me wrong I see where you're coming from. The tickets for the Vitesse game I got were from someone else who couldn't go but I can't think of a fairer way of doing it.

Like I said not complaining about the fairness just the ridiculous bunfight for tickets the small allocation and the fact you have to gamble when booking flights etc

So, basically, only those rich enough to keep going to loads of away games get to go to even more away games...

I could fall out of love with this capitalist world we live in. Vote Corbyn and nationalise the game. It's the only way tickets will be distributed in a more socialist fashion!

Might be they take off the supporters club allocations, too. But - yes - a decent number of complementaries.

100% collection for a Saints away game - we're officially big time

Interesting to note that it shows how many tickets get creamed off the allocation for player and staff comps - Midtjylland explicitly stated on their website that we've got 600 tickets, so that's nearly 10% of our allocation gone to others.

Out of interest (especially to our Danish posters) what Midtjylland likely to be like about away fans in the home ends? Do you think they're likely to kick off? Or will you be ok if you show respect? Also what's the likelihood of not even being allowed entry if you don't speak Danish? Thanks

It will be fine when we get drawn against Dortmund in the groups :-)

Still reckon there will be a scramble for those tickets. Their stadium holds 80,000 so 5% is 4,000. Given the draw that tie would hold we'd easily sell that and some I reckon.

We'll never be happy! :)

We would, but it would be a scramble amongst people with "an away" rather than "ST plus Euro away plus 10 more aways"

I've got the opposite problem. Didn't book flights etc as thought my chances of a ticket were slim. But now look reasonably good (Vitesse and 11 aways) but are all the flights booked by those without tickets?

Plenty of flights available; though it would be useful to know what time the game is.

If you go via Copenhagen then get the train for about £50 it's fairly cheap.

Flights out are still reasonable but are more expensive coming back. Add in the train fare from Copenhagen and a couple of hotels and I can't see anyway of doing it for much under £350.

I can get a ticket but not sure I can justify a trip that will cost £500 once food and beer are added on.

I think it's unlikely the Danish fans would kick off without provocation as crowd trouble is rare over here, unless it's FC Copenhagen v Brøndby who kick off every time they meet pretty much. The FCM fans are more likely to have a spirit akin to how I understood the Vitesse fans to be. I can't think there would be any problems at all getting in as a non-Danish speaker either.

Who's booked up and unlikely to get tickets then?

Looks like I'll be watching in a bar in Herning somewhere then!!!

Cafe Pitstop shows the game by the look of a quick Google!

Regarding a place to watch the game, if you have booked up and fail to get tickets ... then there are several downtown bars in Aarhus that would most likely show the game ... here are the most likely, so you at least have a chance to ask them :

http://www.thegoldenlion.dk/ (they did show Vitesse Vs Southampton)

Won't include Watford as that's not been played yet, but would assume Vitesse and Newcastle will be included.

Ticket office confirm Watford doesn't count. Last season plus Newcastle only. So I have to wait another day to see if I can get one.

Hoping that demand will be lower as you can't use a friend's customer number. There will be plenty with 12+ aways who can't do the game.
