Ron Davies isn't going to get in the A team.

Unless people stop voting for him in the current B team poll and vote for Keegan, Ron Davies is going to be barred from the A team.

If he is voted in this week to the B team, he can't be nominated for the A team next week.

How stupid can people be.

I want Ron Davies as our greatest striker so I voted for Keegan as second best this week.

As did I. I think the problem is that a lot of people haven't picked up on how the poll is working. A little reading can go a long way - unfortunately that's a little more reading than many appear to have done.

If Ron isn't in the A team it'll be a travesty.

If this is the universal truth you seem to think it is then how come he never made the A Team on his own merit in the Right Side.

For my money, whether better that Ron on an individual basis or not, I'm going for Phil Boyer in the A Team as he is more suited to the left side and would be a better foil for Channon with his intelligent runs. On the right side - Davies every time, but Boyer for me on the left.

A lot of people were going for Channon and Davies as the strikers and voted for Channon as the first part of the double. I did.

Boyer was a good little player, but if Paine is wide right and the three have played together, somebody is needed to head in Paine's crosses. Ron Davies at his peak with us was arguably the best striker in the world and virtually unplayable in the air. That could never be said of Boyer.

But I respect everybody's right to vote anyway they want.

If people are voting for Ron to get him out of the A team, that is wrong. This pole should have been done after the A team selection of both strikers.

Surely a vote is just that, an independant vote of confidence. People can vote for whom they wish and should not be swayed from their vote by somebody elses wishes.

Anyway, I vote for John Sergeant - every time - irrespective of form.

Ohhhh is this not a BBC run vote - I thought it was, based purely on the apparent chaos...!! ;)

Why are people so intent on rigging this vote? There have been some suspicious decisions made by some of the moderators/admin in order to achieve the result that they want or think we should have. Some posters seem to want to spend all day trying to convince me of my own mind.

Well seeing as "suggestions" are all the rage at the moment, I would like to suggest that anyone telling us who to vote for should be (1) banned from voting (2) suspended from this site.

I think the people who are guilty of ruining the vote know who they are and I will plead with you to stop before another part of my club becomes soiled.

Has it escaped your attention that this is in fact an internet forum? Just wondered...

exactly, and we all know who is doing it. Ron deserves, more than anyone, to win this poll. He is in second now but there is still time to get him to number one.

Message to people who haven't yet voted: Please please read what you're voting for, ffs! Ron, IMO, deserves the vote.

You wrote it but you don't seem to understand it. It is just that - your opinion. Others will have differing opinions and will vote so.

Please try to understand that not everybody in the world will concur with you - and at the moment you sound like a spoiled boy in a sweetshop.

In the unlikely event that Ron should venture on here - I'm sure that he will be more than flattered by the level of support that he has got. I'm also sure that if he doesn't win 'the vote' he will also take it in very good grace.

I am not voting for him to get in either team because I have never seen him play, so I dont know if he is any good or not! I can understand people wanting to campaign for favourite players, but this is geting out of hand a bit with the voting being manipulated or people encouraging others in order to manipulate the vote. You need to deal with the fact that a lot of posters on here would not have seen the likes of Davies or Paine and want to vote for the best players they have seen. If people want Ron Davies in the B team, then so be it.

No disrespect to the bloke meant, if he was as good as you lot say, he must have been a great player for the club, and I have sympathy for his current situation.

the whole idea of a first team WITHOUT Ron Davies is ridiculous!

Although both Paine, Channon and MLT have scored more goals over their

16 YEAR careers with Saints, Ron's goal tally of 134 in barely 6 seasons is

fantastic by comparison, and he must surely be the highest scoring no.9

(an out and out CF) and second only to the legendary Bill Rawlings in 1920's.

How can he be omitted. I can only assume the poll has been voted on by

many fans who are too young to have remembered him.

This is NOT the bloody first team, RTFQ, It's the bloody SECOND team FFS.

The ones voting on here for Ron Davies are either those who think he is great but are too stupid to understand the rules, or DON'T WANT HIM IN THE VOTE FOR THE A TEAM NEXT WEEK.

Voting him into this SECOND team DISQUALIFIES him from being picked for the A team.

I'm still voting for him for the B team and then i'll vote for him for the A team aswell.

That's where your wrong, if he wins this one he is excluded from the A team. He will be the second team striker.

The best striker becomes third choice if voted in here,

I think somebody is trying to wind you up - nay not trying - succeeding.

I can see you, your face is red, your eyes bulge from thier sockets, steam eminates from your ears, you're pulling your hair out, your head is about to explode....!!!

Not at all, it's a poll. St Landrew has already chucked his hand in over it.

At the end of the day if Ron Davies is in the B team and not the A team the **** will hit the fan. I wouldn't mind betting this poll will be scrapped.

Calm down mate - it's an internet poll - probably being enjoyed by about 100 people - if that. It wont be the end of the world if you don't get your own way.

If the BBC can make such a flamming horlicks of SCD on national television with millions of people polling, and then manage to bodge it, I'm pretty confident that the Mods can come up with some kind of arbitration in order to restore parity here.

If people are 'chucking their hand' as you put it, based purely on the fact that they are not going to get their own way - then perhaps they should go visit the real world occasionally.

He is the moderator that managed the poll. Read back and you'll see he has said he won't do any more polls, because of the criticism.

In any event it has served it's purpose. If he was excluded from the A team I'm sure there would be a reaction.

The problem really is that the rules are simple but not simple enough for some people.

Sorry to hear that it has gone 'titsup'. T'was not my intention to spoil the party, was just taken by the verment argument over who people should and should not vote for - I don't think Barrack campaigned this hard to get the Presidential vote...!

Perhaps after the mod has cooled off he might rethink his decision - good luck.

It's a bit daft imo to have a poll for the B team before the A team.
