Good. Tory Tim is an absolute bellend. Get rid of the whopper Robbie Gibb and it can’t get any worse.

Hopefully replaced by a DG who doesn’t want to suck Farage’s dick and dispatches the horrific Chris Mason, Reform’s Press Officer.

I'm pretty sure the main issues weren't that they were being too friendly to the right in politics. It has rather a lot more to do with the left leaning bias at the bbc.

It looked dreadful and someone senior had to be held accountable for it.

As usual, there was lots going on behind the scenes as this link from the been says

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c07m2v1z4evo

As usual, it had been known about for some time, taking a leak to bring a out consequences.

Regardless of the political persuasions of the board, it was a dreadful editorial decision. One where it looks as though managers did little to heed warnings.

Ridiculous that Panorama felt the need to edit the speech in the first place. No one needs to edit what trump says to make him look a muppet/a liar/complicit/racist/corrupt/a thick cunt.

Unbelievable they are resigning of this. Shows how beholden and scared the BBC are to right wing agitation.

It's a shame the BBC didn't come out more aggressively. They could have done loads of cuts of that day with the same impact - every time Trump says "fight", "fighting" or "fight like hell" or personally I would have overlaid his "go down there and cheer on the senators" with footage of the violence itself. .

There is nothing misleading in what the BBC did. He whipped up that crowd into violence and violence happened.

A braver BBC would have come out and said that. And/Or pointed out the bullshit the Telegraph puts out.

What is bollocks is people pretending that until Panorama was broadcast no one had ever linked Trumps speech on Jan 6th with the violence that happened that day.

Off the things trump says and does, there was no need to knowingly edit an investigative news-based programme in that way, then tell us all the “search for truth is on”.

The BBC needs to adapt or it’s slow death will continue.

That's not the only claims in the memo either.

Well, I tried to tell you so (Yes, I did)
But I guess you didn't know
As thesaddest story goes

Baby, now I got the flow
'Cause I knew it from the start
Baby, when you broke my heart
That I had to come again
And show you that I'd win

You lied to me
All those times I said that I loved you
You lied to me
Yes, I tried, yes I tried
You lied to me
Even though you knew I'd die for you
You lied to me
Yes, I cried, yes I cried

Return of the Twat! (There it is)

Return of the Twat! (Come on)

Return of the Twat! (Oh my God)

You know that he'll be back (here he is)

Time to merge this thread with the Donald Trump Appreciation one. He will be taking down the BBC with a vengeance and a good job too.

You could substitute BBC with democracy and that sentence still works.

Every chance (hopefully) in the neari-ish future the license fee will be binned, the the BBC will be free from the shackles and scrutiny that come with it
