Convict Colony Posted September 14 Posted September 14 The no.1 thing i have got from the gozteppe team and fans is they are absolutley obessed with the squad's average height, they'd turn down messi cos he's a dwarf. 1

Göztepe Posted September 14 Posted September 14 11 hours ago, Convict Colony said: Göztepe takımı ve taraftarlarından öğrendiğim en önemli şey, takımın ortalama boyuna aşırı derecede takıntılı oldukları, Messi'nin cüce olduğu için onu reddedecekleri. Messi is a right winger, and wingers should be tall, but even being short isn't a problem. Messi is a rare example, and it's a thing of the past. Ryan Fraser, for example, and Archer are both short and lack the necessary skills to compensate. Being strong both in the air and on the ground is the only way to beat expensive teams.

trousers Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Right then... Any volunteers to organise the 'Sport Republic Out!' demo at the next home game...? In all seriousness though.... How many more transfer windows do these clowns need to get wrong before something gives...? Edited 19 hours ago by trousers 5

Not that slow if this 🤡 stays in charge. This is a relegation battle if he’s allowed to go on beyond the weekend. Does anyone believe SR has the bollocks to make a decision like Sheff Utd did though? Admit your mistake and put it right next 24 hours.
AlexLaw76 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Another inspired managerial appointment to add to the list
saintant Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Just wanted to say a huge thank you to SR for all you've done for my football club since taking them over. Never thought we'd be where we are now nor expected the journey to get here so hats off to you guys and I'm not sure how you've done it but done it you have. 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Fully expect us to replace Will Still with Goztepe’s manager in six months time…
FredVaFC59100 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago isn't the real issue the hiring of Johannes Spors ? I find it ironic that the only "successful" club in SR's experiment is Gotzepe, directed by Rasmus Ankersen...
sfc4prem Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago @S-Clarke Was it you that posited the idea that our abject 12-point season last time round would have a cataclysmic impact on the whole club, one that we'd struggle to recover from? Did I remember correctly that in that post you also mentioned the thought that we may well face a relegation battle in the Championship this year as a consequence of last year's shit show? If so, you're looking pretty fucking prescient right now.

SR have been a shit show from day 1. 1
scumbag Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago The apathy and general malaise that they've created is probably their greatest strength at the moment. The fans should be 'aggressively' protesting at what they've turned a prem club in to, but we just sit there like drugged zombies wondering what the hell has happened. 6
Mboto Gorge Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I absolutely detest these fucking cunts with a passion. Drenched in the pissing rain watching us get torn apart by fucking hull, with a team full of complete pansies who lack any sort of balls or leadership. Congrats you pricks. Just fuck off 7

Mboto Gorge Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) In all seriousness, surely there’s a limit for how long a fanbase can tolerate being fucked in the arse season after season by this complete idiots. It’s time to let them know this isn’t acceptable on any level . On another level this seasons matchday tickets are an absolute fucking joke too bearing in mind what we witnessed last season, absolute piss take having to pay 30-35 quid to watch Swansea for example. Daft Kerplunk Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Seems that the wonks at Sport Republic believe they've cracked football in the same way Les did when it comes to signing players. The biggest failing of all is not signing decent forwards or creative players, and after last season's abject failure to score goals, it is amazing that a strong centre forward or two wasn't the number one priority. We needed creative players as well but our forwards are nowhere near good enough. Their biggest failing is not learning what they need to prioritise and that is probably down to the same arrogance shown by Les that they didn't need to learn because they already know everything they need to. Imagine spending the amount of money they have and still not being close to where they need to be. Embarrassment to themselves. 1

The difference being that Les had , to his credit, been previously associated with some success in his career. (Some low spots as well, eg at Charlton, but he still had a reasonable reputation). Sports Republic just lurch from one clusterfuck to another. 2

S-Clarke Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Let's just see what they've done to us. When they came in, we were a 'solid' yet unspectacular Premier League side, we were crying out for some clever investment to lift our level a bit and push for top 10. It would have just taken a few tweaks and some clever investment up front and an improvement through the spine. But all they've given us are 2 relegations (one being the worst ever PL team in modern times), shit manager after shit manager, truly abhorrent transfer windows all whilst spending approx. £300m in transfer windows (and god knows how much in manager compo). I think it's fair at this point to say that they've been the worst ownership we've ever, ever, ever had - and we've had some bad people. It's at the point now where hoping it gets better looks a bit niave. I don't think they have a scooby do of how to run a professional football club. There's no future for us with them at the helm, I think somethings got to budge - but how can you shift ownership? Near on impossible I'd say. I think we've pretty much landed on where we'll be, floating around Champ mid-table and some relegation battles to L1. Edited 13 hours ago by S-Clarke 10

Pellegrino was only really opposed despite dreadful underperformance and horrific football just before he was sacked in March 2018 when the guy was clearly a mental health wreck and would’ve been gone by November at any other PL outfit. Look at the Rangers reaction to Martin compared to ours at this point of last year. 20-30 years ago our fanbase didn’t have quite the breadth but they had backbone, not the jellyfish of recent years. They, the players led by Stephens and SR deserve each other. 3

The internet enables fans to communicate and organise a lot easier than in the day of SISA arranging Monday night meetings in pubs. Is it too easy just to vent the anger on social media and think it’s job done ? Note: Chelt Town sack manager tonight.

Is it too easy just to vent the anger on social media and think it’s job done ? Note: Chelt Town sack manager tonight. Not surprised on Michael Flynn. Decent bloke and not backed in the transfer market this summer but even so, they’ve been even worse than Saints under Still (staggeringly). Mike Garlick the former Burnley chairman has bought them and after the very unpopular DoF Gary Johnson was sacked last week (their fans sang for him to go for 25 minutes solid at the Accrington game - learning for our fans, it does work) Flynn had to beat Oldham at home, they lost 0-3. On our fans - hard to say why they’ve lost their edge, Semmens and the security bloke from Millwall definitely used Block 1 as an excuse to ban our more vocal element who might have opposed him, Gao and eventually SR. That doesn’t stop protests outside the stadium though. To be frank, it might be a bit more intellect and organisation with other fanbases - those anti-Rudkin vans were ace at Leicester and no-one was banned. Whereas those supporters in the Itchen who made up that brilliant P45 for Nathan Jones at the Wolves game got ejected and banned. Saints aren’t dissimilar to Trump and MAGA in many ways with any whiff of criticism. They were trying to grab the Martin out banners at the Spurs game as well. Stewards are just club lackeys these days, not like my grandfather’s era when he had to deal with firms in the 60s/70s and his fellow dockers and supporters at home games. Best way is to do what Coventry did - starve SISU out with an home boycott - when they actually played in Coventry - but sell out the away sections every week and give SR absolute hell. Be as offensive as you within the law. Edited 11 hours ago by Gloucester Saint 1

No doubt 20 odd thousand lemmings will continue to go and clap this bunch of shysters putting in meek, under-par performances and absolutely nothing will change. 1
HarvSFC Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago Goztepe are definitely getting the better end of the deal here, sitting second in the Turkish top flight after six games and behind Galatasaray. They get filtered players through us that would otherwise be too good for them and outside of their budget. While, we don't get the same players coming to us that are too good for the Championship, or outside of our budget. We have a strict sell before we buy and wage cap budget which has created this team of underperformers. While the players we do sign are often projects and have no impact on our starting eleven, they weaken it even and bloat out the squad.
