When we refuse to pay the market rate for the division we are in, very hard.

I thought for £7m he’d be quite raw but we are talking Flynn Downes chicken livers.

Definitely not!

Are Saints waiting for 90th minute. What is going on why haven't we scored

Yeah, horrendous. Not much more to be said really. Not even close to being a competitive team.

It looks very much like an early season game, lots of rustiness etc, but for the wages and rep some of our players have, they have been technically horrendous. None of them seem to be able to control or pass a football.

I don't like 3 at the back, never have done. I think it confuses the entire shape.

Charles lost on his own in the middle, Fernandes isn't a partner in the CM role - he needs to push higher. We need better alongside Charles.

We need such an injection of quality in the attacking wide area's though, but sadly what we have out there is almost £20m plus worth of it, which we need to ditch first, and none of it is good enough. A real problem area for us. (I'm not including Downs in that, way too early)

Downs is Adams 2.0

More Keith Cassells. Clumsy lump with no first touch. Lawrie didn’t make loads of transfer mistakes but that was one. Still at least Mark Wright came our way from Oxford eventually.

Honestly, it feels at times like Still is trying some kind of passive-aggressive 'buy-me-a-number-10' routine as the side is crying out for someone in that spot to get on the ball.

Why waste another 10 minutes?

Because we know Arma cannot lead the attack.

At least give the new guy a chance.

He did say at the beginning that Ross Stewart was taken ill during the warm up which is why BBD is playing.

He then went on to say that in our last two cup games against Northampton, Saints had won both “respectively”!

So just to be clear, our goalscoring options this season are:

Adam Armstrong

Archer

BBD

This Downs geezer who has now missed two open goals in 60 mins of football

Ross Stewart and his amazing glass knees

Fantastic.

We can't play this 3-4-3 formation with these forwards, none of these is a winger type. Simple as. But part of the problem is only having 2 in the central area, they're too stretched up against 3, one of the CBs has to step into midfield more but none look confident enough to do it.

OK, having seen it back again a couple of times, I'm going to give Downs the benefit of the doubt for that miss, because the ball in from BBD was a little bit too far back from where it needed to be and you can see him desperately trying to slow down to make a connection with it.

Downs probably prefers to crack them in from the edge of the box rather than tap in from 2 yards. Still he hasn't yet managed a handball from 6 inches yet.

Will Still is supposed to be very adaptable right?

Got to ditch this 3 at the back

Yep.

Four at the back and control the midfield.

BBD off too.

This Downs fella…. Who the hell scouted him? Have we learnt nothing at all with our scouting… Honestly…

If I remember his YouTube reel was a load of scuffed shots/bundled in goals.

I guess add in Archer. But I’m not wildly impressed.

Can’t believe this club would allow Fernandes or Dibling leave for any money this window.

Zero chance of a successful season if they both go.

But if they don't go, are we still able to strengthen where we need to?

Maybe we can package BBD in a box labelled Dibling?

Could work.
