Jander played in both of Nuerenberg's derbies v Furth last season. Won both games, 4-0 and 3-0. Got booked and 2 assists in the last one.

Cheers, good to know, I’d be more concerned about the ticker some of the players who have been here a while - Downes, Bazunu, AA - than I would be about this week’s additions or Mads. Atmosphere will spur them on if anything.

If the club monitor this board then there's a simple message, you do NOT fucking lose this game, losing isn't even close to acceptable, if the players don't leave every fucking piece of themselves on the pitch, if they don't fight for every fucking thing, if they don't leave their boot in on every challenge, if they don't break those cunts, they shouldn't play again.

This game isn't about football, and if you support saints because it's a football club it's not your game either, this game is about the city. Those horrible little lying, scabbing, insignificant cunts don't even deserve to be allowed in our city.

Them, their piss stained sex pest of celebrity, the banjo headed cunt and every single thing associated to that city aren't welcome here and need to be taught their fucking place and sent back to the shithole they live in.

Portesa Isand is the clagnut hanging off the arsehole of the UK, we'll steal their food, mock their inbred population who chase paediatricians out of their city because they think they're peados, we'll remind them that sotonians are just better than them and that they don't deserve to fucking exist.

Limp wristed Eddie, dockers rotting corpse, the yokel cunt in the documentary talking about their "dialect", Dinenage, Morduant, and every single one of you pricks i hope you leave in tears.

I dont give a fuck what else happens this season we have to beat them, it's a two game season, this is game one.

Fuck the skates, fuck their myths, we're Southampton, we're better than you.

We shouldn’t even be in the same league as these fuckers , they should always be in the lower leagues .

the fact they are in the same league and higher then us is totally unacceptable.

Will still will lose a lot of respect if we even draw let alone lose .

5 points from 12 is fucking poor start .

Still likes the talk well now it’s time to stand up and be counted.

Well said mate. Let's hope there's some strong characters in the dressing room ready to stand up and be counted,  I'm sure any fan who has bumped into Will Still has let him know what's expected

Tom Fellows was certainly up for it (did well vs Wolves in their feisty encounter in the FA Cup live on ITV) so no reason Azaz wouldn’t be (he’s played in Boro v Sunderland) and Casper Jander has probably experienced some German clashes with a bit of edge on them.

Yes, not so much experience of derbies, just meaning a pretty tough/intense game to start with. But I’d still start them (at least Fellowes & Azaz).

2-2

No chance do we keep a clean sheet

I would pick...

Bazunu, Mads, THB, Stephens, Manning, Charles, Downes, Fellows, Azaz, Fraser, Archer.

What I think we will likely see.....

Bazunu, Mads, THB, Stephens, Wood, Manning, Charles, Azaz, Fraser, Fellows, Archer

Ipswich have 3, and Sheffield Utd have 0. So it could be worse.

I'm hopeful we won't repeat RM's September 2023 losing streak, and we have just taken top of the table Middlesborough's 2nd best player.

That in itself shows how tinpot they are. 4 games in.

Same thought. Are debuts in this type of intense game sensible?

I don’t think there’s an option for them not to play to be honest.

The formation has to change, and the only way he’s going do that is with the new players coming in.

I’ve tried to be patient with him but if he plays the same team and that jank 3 CB system in this game he can fuck off back to France.

We can't afford another September like that, at least then we'd had a good August and taken 10 points from first 4 games, double what we've managed this time 😞

It's only 4 games in and the Stoke debacle distorts the table. There was a time when nobody looked at a table until we were 10 games in.

I'm a '14 games in' man myself... ;)

I had a dream last night we went 1-0 down (Stephens OG), but won 8-2.

I wouldn't like to be the person that cleans your pants after such a dream... 😂

Yes, exactly. In isolation a couple of points away and a win at home is a good start -  but it was that Stoke game, like you say, which paints a different picture.

Still a lot to do, but it isn't a 'horrific start' as I've seen some proclaiming on social media, it's an average start. No more, no less.

Why would it be a wind up? There are no excuses in 2 weeks, we cannot lose and 3-4-2-1 is making us shite.

He’s said once he gets the players he wants then 4-2-3-1 is back on the table so put up or fuck off.

We simply cannot afford to give up the midfield against those cunts. We’re absolutely crying out for a 4231 or 433 which will allow us to hopefully control games with much more ease. They’re pretty shit and if we turn up and play a formation that fucking suits us then they shouldn’t be able to live with us. I’d also play McCarthy, but that won’t happen, so;

                         Bazunu

Roerslev    THB    Stephens    Manning

                  Downes  Charles

Fellows                Azaz              Fraser

                            Archer

Up until yesterday I was excited about the prospect of thrashing the Skates in two weeks. Now I’m nervous. Hopefully with the new players already in, and anything else that happens between now and 7pm on Monday, we can go into the Derby with a lot more confidence.

A bad result against the Skates at this stage will sap confidence out of the team and potentially fcuk the rest of the season. A solid win could and should do the reverse.

I hope those nerves from some fans don't translate into them being sat in fucking silence or groaning if there is a misplaced pass.

Need to see some passion and commitment for 90 minutes from our supporters.

Like others have said, I’d have Mccarthy in there.

Manning is a weird one- on the one hand his set pieces have been really good but I still think he’s very suspect defensively, particularly in a 4. Depends how good this new lad from Galatasaray is at left back.

No excuses, play your part or sell your ticket.

This is spot on.

We can't afford passengers in the team and we definitely can't afford them in the stands. Even if we're struggling, well especially if we're struggling, no fucking groaning and keep the volume up.

Boo every bit of sustained possession they have, cheer every tackle, roar the lads forward at every opportunity. If you're sat near the skates drown the wankers out every time they open their pikey mouths.

Everyone needs to hold their fellow fans to account. Call out anyone checking bets or social media during the 90 minutes. I hate people doing that anyway but its completely unacceptable for this fixture.

We're slightly off the boil on the pitch but us fans can make the difference here. Let's get right into the cunts and do the city proud.

This game has draw written all over it, unless Saints can really start clicking up front.

Really worried about Bazunu, he has improved this season, but they'll target him mercilessly, just as we would. It's bound to affect him.

Judging by what my Pompey mates (yes I have some) are saying, they will give up possession and grind it out, they'll hope to catch us on the break. Murphy and Bishop are used to that. Big danger there.

It won't be a pretty match of that you can be sure. Will Saints have the guile to break down their defence? Guess it will depend on whether Still can incorporate the new signings effectively.

Great fun but in reality an absolute nuisance of a game really. Saints will have a harder game against Pompey than anybody else.
