washsaint Posted 23 November, 2025 Posted 23 November, 2025 He's out injured. Doesn't really matter anyways as there is no place for him in the squad (I would say the same for Aribo who has looked lazy, unfit and disinterested evry time he has come on). Leo, Robinson, Fraser, Fellows, Armstrong (in that role) are all ahead of him now. 3

Yeah dont know why we're bothering at all with Aribo, might as well have Sesay and/or Williams on the bench instead of him. 3
pimpin4rizeal Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Already starting to think that edozie looks more dangerous then fellows he’s such a tricky dribbler it’s like he doesn’t even know what he’s gonna do himself but he’s so difficult to stop when running at people . gotta say it’s pretty poor on the clubs part for freezing him out he’s an excellent option to have it this level I hope bridges can be rebuilt 8

Just needs to speed some time practising running with the ball and shooting. Edozie, however, is an excellent sub for him. On Saturday, he was hooked off before he could do anymore damage to Leicester but he showed his potential and his runs (like Scienza, like Fellows) can cause all sorts of problems to championship defences. Think we'll be seeing a lot more of him from now on. 1
DT Posted Tuesday at 09:38 Posted Tuesday at 09:38 I thought he was great on Saturday and when he was taken off by Eckert I thought it was the coach's classic and slightly idiotic knee-jerk 60 minute sub where he thinks that taking off our most threatening player was somehow a brilliant masterstroke like he does with Scienza, no doubt thinking he needed to preserve his energy or something. Anyway, great to see him being something that we can draw on to unlock defences when we need a bit of directness and penalty-inducing dribbliness. Like having a new player, as the cliche goes. 1

I am assuming that many of these 60 mins subs ARE planned (especially for Steward, Edozie, Romeu) as the sports science behind it could be something like "come off on 70 mins and recovery time is x days, come off on 60 mins and recovery time is x days -1. But if you play less than 60 mins you don't build up much needed match fitness" ... that kind of thing, so yeah, they probably are being over-managed, but as long as they're kept fit and we keep winning, the planned subs are fine with me.
SylvianSylvian Posted Tuesday at 10:37 Posted Tuesday at 10:37 I'm not sure he's inferior to Fellows... by coming back in after being iced out for so long and looking decent he's really showed his class. Could be a key player for us in the months to come. 2
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted Tuesday at 11:46 Posted Tuesday at 11:46 He was fantastic in the championship last time round until he got mullered by a Norwich player (think it was that game) and got injured. Just wasn't the same afterwards seemed more hesitant or scared to run at teams. And then got bombed out. Dont think he has been managed well. 3

When he came back from injury we'd already signed Brooks on loan and he barely got a look in after. We didn't give him a chance to come back because Russ had his favourites. Then Russ preferred BBD to him and loaned him out straight away the next season. 4
hypochondriac Posted Tuesday at 12:12 Posted Tuesday at 12:12 If he leaves in the summer I feel it will be a big missed opportunity if we are in this league next year. 7

But why did we seem adamant on freezing him out or forcing him into moving this season ? Id actually go as far as to say that edozie is a world class dribbler even when he looks like he has nowhere to go he seems to still dribble past people somehow. I do think he is more dangerous then fellows myself fellows obviously a good dribbler also and with a good cross but I think edozie is a absolute nightmare for defenders legs going everywhere and so hard to stop, also probably carry’s more goal threat and enticing penalties 4

The defender thinks he's gotten between him and ball and then finds he's wriggled past by cleverly shifting his body past the block. https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxODlg3ZTcRkfXBbFjVElCvf3ODtoOqqYS?si=AWfqYLnu_qs_r1A9 5
Danbert Posted Wednesday at 09:46 Posted Wednesday at 09:46 M'eh not convinced - you're all just in a good mood because we won and it's affected your normally healthy skepticism 4
Harry_SFC Posted Wednesday at 09:56 Posted Wednesday at 09:56 His end product is still poor but yes he's a very good dribbler. Certainly better to have him in the squad than not.

I thought he tried a few things in the cup game which didn't quite come off, if they had it done we would be singing his praises. It is frustrating because I believe there is so much potential there... come on Sam! 1

pimpin4rizeal Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Thought he was great again yesterday the charlton defenders seemed scared to commit to trying to tackle him so kinda just backed off him he was less greedy then usual too. Looks way better then fellows.would be great if we can get him and Leo in the same side 2
spyinthesky Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Makes me wonder why we spent a very decent wedge on Fellows when Edioze seems equally as good, if not a better option. 3

I think he can be an important player for us this season but mainly as a sub attacking and stretching a tired defence. Despite the pace and all the stopovers, I don’t recall many crosses into the box. There seems to be a bit of a fashionable undercurrent to have a down on Fellows at the moment. Appreciate his finishing has been poor when chances have come his way, but he’s probably the best crosser of a ball we have.Look at the cutback for Scienza yesterday. If we’d had a decent CF since August Fellows would probably have a dozen ‘assists’ to his name. (Don’t Scienza and Edozie both play on the left ?) 2

Among other reasons I suspect there was some agreement in place between Edozie and club that he’d be leaving, something it seemed both sides wanted. Mystery for me is why Edozie was not in the squad for so long. Can’t recall any injuries for the most part. Don’t agree that he’s a better option than Fellows. Think we’ve wasted him for much of the season as a wingback which might have dented his confidence. 1
Ex Lion Tamer Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Can only think there's some kind of disciplinary reason why Edozie has been frozen out. I also don't understand why he didn't do well out on loan when he's come back to us and looked pretty good
