The case against:- Didn't know what Tonda and the analytics team were up to. He reports in to Parsons, and has responsibility, as technical director for these events. He's as likely to bring in a Still as a Tonda. He did bring in the guy who's behind what we're going through. Having been so close to Tonda, his own relationships and his reactions to those that might now want Tonda out would be open to question. Staff and players may not want to work with him, as a result of who he's brought in. The "flop" and the "cheat" have significantly cost them.
hypochondriac Posted Wednesday at 17:41 Posted Wednesday at 17:41 It does make it slightly better if it is really true that Spors had no idea. This does suggest it was a rotten coaching team rather than condoned by higher ups. At least I hope so.
TheSoundman Posted Wednesday at 17:41 Posted Wednesday at 17:41 I think by the time our owner and the FA have finished, there won't be many of our management team left at any level. 2
LegalEagle Posted Wednesday at 17:42 Posted Wednesday at 17:42 Let’s pretend we are reinstated. How do the players now look at Tonda? Do they no longer respect him, treat him with mild suspicion or not give a shit and hang on every word because their bonuses are at stake?
petermcpete Posted Wednesday at 17:43 Posted Wednesday at 17:43 Spors might not have the responsibility, but ultimately in his position he holds the accountability for what those below him do. Adherence to technical regulations should be his bread-and-buttter, particularly in medium- and large- corporate entities, which sadly football clubs now are!

Scoobysaint Posted Wednesday at 17:47 Posted Wednesday at 17:47 How would people feel if we had a centre forward who dived a lot and got a lot of penalties? Every opportunity to actively and directly impact a game by cheating? Would fans want him out or would we support the cheating? I understand we have broken rules but the world of football is full of cheating. I’m disappointed but not incandescent with rage! 7
SNSUN Posted Wednesday at 17:48 Posted Wednesday at 17:48 Ed and Will are off to the Belgian and French Leagues, so that's two managers we won't be able to get in the summer.

USaintA Posted Wednesday at 17:50 Posted Wednesday at 17:50 The only fair and logical thing to do under these extreme circumstances is to make null and void every single Saints FC result from the day Sport Republic took over until now. By my reckoning that would then put us 14th in the Premier League with Ralph Hasenhüttl back in charge as our manager. It's harsh, but I would be okay with it. 6
