They're basically out. The best third place race does include gd, and with only 3 PTS, there are already 2 teams guaranteed to go above them, and 4 other games that they will need to go their way.  They'll be very lucky to squeeze through.

Would be sad to see Scotland scrape through based on one crappy win against a poor side but that's the nature of this World Cup. You don't need to do too much to get through. Cape Verde are far more deserving than Scotland of getting through and they may not yet.

If Scotland wanna go through they need to go for it in last 20 and try to improve their goal difference by at least 1 goal, maybe 2. Otherwise they will surely be out once everyone else has played.
