Plus for a team that still has a decent income, wage budget, transfer budget, squad, facilities and with parachute payments. I doubt he'd do it as a stop gap for Eckert if he got a long term ban. It would need to be if Eckert was sacked. I'd still be surprised if it happened in either of those situations.

Their plans for a new stadium etc seem to have stalled and with financial rules they are selling off their top players , welcome to Saints world !
