  1. The options in the poll are a bit lacking in imagination. I could vote for a total boycott, but given that I haven't been to a game since being ****ed off with the way we played against Watford, how can I boycott? How would anyone know? Boycotts in themselves are totally pointless. What I would like to happen is to boycott actually going to a game, i.e. actually buying a ticket, but for all the boycotters to turn up outside the ground and protest vociferously with banners etc. No threats, no violence, just loads of noise and vocal abuse aimed at Wilde and Lowe, before and after a game.
  2. I think you may have missed one minor point about hunger strikes Still concerned that it may not be as effective as with someone who may already be of the "stick insect" persuasion.
  3. I'm with St Landrew entirely, even down to when we started supporting Saints. And yes this is by a long way the worst team ever to don the red & white. The players themselves, I don't blame them, but there is no real talent out there that belongs to SFC. We laud Lallana and Surman, but quite frankly they are only made to look ood because they shine out from the rest of the shower of ****. Cork is the only one with real talent. A decent manager would be able to polish this turd for mid-table safety, but thats about as good as you can say. JP is not blessed in the turd-polishing department. I wonder if Ali Dia may have looked half decent in this team. Sad, sad day, I think I have given up caring (though it hurts to say that). I no longer feel any desire to go to a game on a Saturday, Lowe has beaten it out of me. I lost that desire at the Watford game.

  5. I think you owe it to the lad to encourage him to support Liverpool or Manure or even the Arse. I don't think anyone deserves to be depressed the rest of their lives
  6. Having long term plans is fine, unless the long term does not exist. I believe Woolies had a long term plan. This is not a plan, its just chaos.
  7. Have we started playing our exciting, passing Dutch-style football yet? I think this is the closest I've come in 42 years to crying enough. It is disgusting that SFC has been dragged down to this level, even in the Branfoot era at least we were in the top division and had MLT to bring hope. Is it just me, have had a **** Christmas, now have to put up with this crap.
  8. what the **** use is that, we're playing in the afternoon?
  9. Just out of interest, any idea how long before you think you might get hungry? Just that we really need a change in management before the end of the season, looking at your location you may be OK for longer than that
  10. Anyone got one of those little radio controlled helicopter thingies. Tie a small banner on the end and fly it up and down in front of the royal box, sorry Directors Box, and irritate the feck out of Lowe and Wilde during a game. I think the only way to be rid of Lowe is via Wilde, I think if Wilde loses his bottle then he will crack again and withdraw his support.
  11. But thats the problem, its not because people hate him, its because he is not the right person to do what is right for the club to stay afloat. People may hate him as well, but most sensible people also see that he doesn't know what he is doing. He is not the financial genius that some believe, he is a financial disaster, and doesn't seem to understand that to keep a football club aflot you need to employ football players and football managers, and most importantly win matches. Lowe's way is the path to relegation unless he sees the light very soon.
  12. or as I mentioned above is it simply that BCFC have exercised their option to buy which they always had. I won't try to defend the OS, but this is one conspiracy theory that does not really hold water. His loan was until 1 Jan with option to buy in January. It seems to me that JP just got his wording wrong, thats all. English is not his first language after all (nor is football for that matter). Stern is gone, thats the bottom line, and Rasiak is also unavailable as he was definitely on a season long loan. The only ones coming back are Saga and Fingers
  13. Need to be more specific. Lowe will think we are referring to Wilde and will probably agree.
  14. Happy Christmas, Ron. Even with your dodgy hips I'm sure you could still show the youth team how to score a goal or two. I suspect no-one will score 4 against Manure next week.
  15. You seem to have selective memory issues. We used to moan like feck when Burley was in charge playing 4-4-2 and with no Plan B, and quite rightly. Like Burley, Jan is a one-trick pony, the sign of a poor coach, unable to effectively change tactics either during a game, or to suit the opponents style of play, or to play differently home and away. In any case its not just that there is no Plan B with JP, its also that the players are not good enough, at least in the case of McG, and cannot play the system that JP insists on playing. I LOL'd at JP's quotes on the OS when he says this is what the youngsters were brought up to play. That is absolute ****** Jan, only 4 of our regular starters have ever played in the Academy, and I don't recall George Prost employing the same tactics as JP, or maybe he did and he was just more effective and getting his ideas over to the kids, but thats what happens when you employ a 3rd rate Dutch amateur coach.
  16. Just a thought that perhaps in this case we should not actually blindly believe what JP said about John. After all he is wrong about most other matters, such as the way we play, how are strikers perform, etc. I suspect the truth is that he was on loan until end of year with an option to be transferred permanently in the January transfer window. JP has probably got notification of Bristol City's intent to exercise this option, and in his befuddled brain ****ed up the story. Here is some evidence to support my proposition: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1P2-19478664.html John is also quoted on the BCFC site as saying that he wants to sign for BCFC permanently. I don't often back the OS, but suspect in this case there was no cover up, just that Jan Nice but Dim Poortvliet has got it wrong.
  17. Of course Lowe will be able to bluster that he has 94.95% support, we all know clearly that it is only 94.95% of the votes actually cast, interesting of course that the actual numbers of votes cast are not published, since this would give lie to Lowe's bluster. Well blow me down with a feather. What Lowe should see is that he received almost 3 times as many against votes as Andrew Cowen. I was also pleased to see that even more people voted against Wilde than even Lowe, showing quite rightly who is the real person that should be removed from SFC. Interesting to note that Lowe decided not to involve the police with Chorley. Chorley shows himself to be a misguided idiot again, though the thought was quite clever, even if the execution was crassly stupid.
  18. Why is it assumed that LM and others didn't vote simply because they walked out? It is normal practice to vote beforehand on your voting slip, you don't have to be present to vote, thus avoiding the situation where your vote is missed due to some unexpected event. There should still be a record somewhere of the votes for and against, though it will probably be some time before Dave Jones allows that information to be published.
  19. Another tribute to the expertise of George Burley
  20. Its about bloody time that Lowe was faced with someone with passion and shares giving him a verbal bashing. I am not a great admirer of Crouch, but without him quite honestly there would be no-one prepared to say boo to the goose (or duck). Its quite clear now why Wilde did not attend, because he knew that Crouch would run riot with him in the room. For all those that say this is childish, you are just so completely wrong. This is the whole point of having an AGM, it is the one legitimate opportunity for the shareholders to let the Board know exactly how they feel. I accept it will make little difference, but these things need to be said and Lowe needs to understand the depth of feeling against him. I wish I had gone now, instead of simply proxying my vote, I guess my 56 votes aginst Lowe and Wilde being elected will not tip the balance, but I have at least registered my protest legitimately and in a way that Lowe may understand. Well done Leon
  21. What you say is true with regard to the gate receipts, but there will be significant additional income generated from the extra 17 or 18000 people buying pints, pies and programmes, not to mention extra sales in the store. We also get 2/6d from Sultana for the TV coverage
  22. Given we've only got 14000 supporters these days, and we are a bit short of the old greenbacks, maybe we should be welcoming them with open arms. Must admit I am very surprised the game is sold out, but then if 17000 are plastic Mancs then I suppose it is not so surprising after all. All these plastics going along to watch their darlings from Sky, it would be great if Fergie plays the reserves instead, and rests Ronaldo, Thugfeatures, Ferdinand, Giggs, etc. That said still likely that they could murder us, 32000+ seeing what a third rate coach can do for a team. Still I maintain this weird hunch that we will sneak a draw or better, no logical reason to suppose this will happen, but "its a funny old game"
  23. Neither. He is just a 3rd rate Dutch coach who is so far out of his depth that it is embarrassing. Nice bloke, wrong man for the job, but filling his boots given his one chance of glory
  24. Not sure how to break this to you, but Pulis is not a loan, he's ours for keeps
  25. Almost certainly. If the option is to stick with what we have or try someone else who knows the English game better then the gamble has to be taken. Simple really. Stick with what we have and go down, or gamble and hope that we stay up.
