  1. City v Wet Sham is off
  2. Matt Crocker is DoFO, defo. Director of Football Operations. His role is 'to oversee the development of every aspect of its football operations, and develop every department that supports all of the club's teams.' Same job title as Ross Wilson had. Think Matt will be making the decisions, perhaps why some decisions have been put on the ba k burner until he started officially last week.
  3. Cup tied?
  4. No, the saintsfc.co.uk site no longer works. What they have done today is put a redirect on it so that the site comes up as southamptonfc.com. Its a bit weird to make a change like this and not tell anyone, as it turns out now visitors will get to the site as expected (the southamtonfc one) and 99% won't notice they are on a different site, but yesterday they had not set up the redirect, so that was a bit amateurish.
  5. Sorry to disagree, but the penalty was not legit and should have been overturned by VAR. Son should have been yellow carded for the dive, he was already on his way down before Gunn got near him. Alli's killer pass may have lead directly to the chance for Son, but our undoing was a terrible misplaced pass by Redmond, another example to go with the many of us giving the ball away in an attacking position and putting ourselves under pressure. Redmond, Boufal and Tadic have all been guilty of this so many times in the past few seasons. We also weren't playing our reserves, and I'm not sure Spurs were either. The team we put out last night was the strongest available, with the exception of Gunn who we knew would play (and is not much of a downgrade on Macca anyway). Not sure who exactly Spurs could have played that didn't that were eligible for the game. Thought we played exceptionally well last night for upwards of 70 minutes - their second goal was the killer, if we hadn't conceded then I believe we would have gone on and won.
  6. The architecture can have a massive impact.
  7. 4 games without a goal ?
  8. He will be lonely ?
  9. Isn't that because he joined as assistant to Rahdi, who has subsequently been moved sideways to the US. So now Horseman is Coach.
  10. Not included in the current 'protocol' according to Dermot
  11. Ings, Bertrand, Boufal and Romeu are the top 4 left
  12. To be fair, several teams have competed against them recently, they have not been at their best (I didn't see the Wham game so can't comment). Late winners or grinding out a result is Liverpool at the moment. Shrews even got a draw against their U11 Girls team.
  13. Doesn't seem to have affected his attitude negatively for the last few months. He would still have been trying t o impress up to June if someone hadn't come in for him now, perhaps even more so. I don't think attitude is a factor at all. I think there is more to the KWP situation than currently bein said, reckon we have a deal for him in the Summer already sorted based on Ralph's comments in the Presser.
  14. Exactly as expected when his appointment was announced.
  15. Apparently he is not alone at Spurs, Gazzanigga on same. Mind you, its about double what Yan Valery is on. All according to this site, make of it what you will: https://www.spotrac.com/epl/tottenham-hotspur-f.c/payroll/
  16. What came across is that there seems little doubt that we are developing KWP for the future at Saints. Sounds to me like we have already agreed a deal, but for some reason don't want to make it permanent until the Summer.
  17. Signed a new 3 year contract in 2019 which takes him to June 2023. £1.04m per year (£20k per week).
  18. Let's hope so, the thought of JWP up against Andy Robertson is not very appealing. Would have my doubts though given Valery has only been back in training since Monday.
  19. Good, rather quashes the rumours that he was still injured. is it just me or does he look like Nathaniel Clyne's younger brother?
  20. Maybe we can't afford his wages. I read he is on £100k,not sure I believe that but there you are. He's also not fit to play yet, and not eligible for the Spurs replay. Will he be ready for Burnley on 15/2? The blurb from the club says he is being brought in to strengthen, but how can that be if Cedric is being loaned to Arse? Something just doesn't add up here. Happy to see Kyle Leonardus join but not sure what is going on and whether it makes sense.
  21. 10 at least after the end of Feb, more if we are still in the Cup. Supposed to be back sooner than that anyway.
  22. The sell on clause will help ?
  23. Bit worried about how many on here have mates who are Spurs fans. Do you have no pride or self esteem?
  24. I don't think we would be going for KWP and supposedly still be interested in Frimpong if there was any chance of Cedric staying. Think this activity is a strong indication that he will be playing elsewhere. Shame, but some of the forum experts say he is crap so guess it must be true.
