He's getting on a bit, he'll be 30 in November, and he's not been performing at the level he did a couple of seasons ago. I think 15m is a good deal to be honest.

Lol - when have they actually ever reduced the value of a sponsorship deal? They took a long hard look at the Man City deal and did sweet FA as I recall.

And a nice Pompey at the World Cup article. Apparently, the Senegal Head Coach made 28 appearances for Pompey over a decade ago.

Pompey owners ready to spend big on Fratton Park Somehow it's a matter of pride that they can afford essential maintenance to keep the tatty timber tabernacle from collapsing completely

Seems we intend scavenging from Aston Villa http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5812993/Aston-Villa-six-academy-graduates-squad-season.html

We kept things very tight for much of the season and by keeping men behind the ball restricted the number of chances created against us. The problem was, that when someone did pop a half decent ball into the box, more often than not, it got tucked away. I think our central defenders' lack of presence, particularly in the air, has a lot to say in that regard.

He also has trouble with numbers: "It is understood Curtis’ transfer fee is well in excess of six figures." https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/pompey-chief-curtis-fits-kenny-s-recruitment-criteria-1-8507458

Don't worry, they won't be making the same mistakes with their stadium as some of the biggest clubs in Europe, and their due diligence takes in more than just how the other guys serve beer. It's all because everyone in football really loves them, so all the other clubs are happy to share their secrets. True story

Why is our Academy not producing Premier League Players
Danbert replied to John B's topic in The Saints
I don't want to bash the lad, and he has a lot of positive qualities but he is anything but a top quality CB at the present time. He's easily the weakest in our squad of not very good center backs. -
: It had been coming though that was the first time Derby had properly got down the flanks. Targett, was, er, targeted there, and Derby overloaded once they got the ball out to the left. Jerome is always capable of bullying defenders. 10m ago 20:21 [h=2]Goal! Derby 1-0 Fulham (Jerome 34)[/h] Huddlestone’s ball gets Forsyth out on the left. Great cross, and Jerome powers through Matt Targett to get there.
