Pompey Takeover Saga

Hilarious. Dinnage was trying to find a question that might provide some small sliver of hope and yet the more he pushed, the more it became apparent that all he was going to get from Madj was doom and gloom.

Anyone else notice that the title bar (very top of the window) for that URL says "Merdian Tonight" - I think that's French isn't it?

Hilarious. Dinnage was trying to find a question that might provide some small sliver of hope and yet the more he pushed, the more it became apparent that all he was going to get from Madj was doom and gloom. My favourite bit was when he was asked what it might take to sort out Pimpley and he said "a billionnaire, but that's highly unlikely". Sweet.

Much lolage. Dinage can go **** himself along with all the other skate ****s. When they are in the Blue Square playing Stevenage on a wet Tuesday evening I am sure they can all go for a mass debate over a cup of tea at half time about how they won the cup wiv agent Arry.

Great irony how they celebrated the return of the saggy faced football team assasin from Saints and he has ultimately contributed to their very massive demise.

Oh, and **** all this "It's a shame for the fans" ********. I hope each and every one of them lives to see their **** poor **** club go down the gutter.

Jesus christ I am having a total 'mare trying to stay on top of this beast. Its not easy juggling work, a degree and this thread ffs.

I was well up there but after the past three days I have dropped a good 10 pages behind and am considering skipping 7 or so pages to try and keep up to date.

yep plus they are due 5m sky money soon.

I would myself caution all those who are saying they are finished etc as I beleive they have turned a deal and going to make many people throw their hands up in the air in disbelief.

As a saints fan I find it distatsteful that the PM has not mentioned other football clubs in the past when they have also gone into administration and how do fans at Chester, Bournemouth etc feel ?

What is it that makes you think they've turned a corner? They have gone into admin, have millions upon millions to settle for, will face massive cuts, will probably be exposed for "irregularities" and face almost certain relegation.

A reduced TV cash package is not exactly a ray of sunshine in these circumstances!

Ah well as long as they are in still in business till end of season to win my pompey bottom of the table bet I am happy :)

Will be a nice 100 quid coming my way, nice to pay on next seasons home shirt and a few beers...

Who is the bet with?

Some bookmakers are already paying out on Pompey's relegation.

... and I've just seen that Avram Grant has stated that he'll stay on at the club at least until the end of the season. First bit of good old fashioned "integrity" I've seen come out of that shιthole for a long, long time.

Maybe they're starting to turn a corner.

Stop moaning, it wasn't me, the figures are wrong, the Administrator should publish the accounts.

So, I ask what has happened in the last 24 hours that would warrant the Administrator publishing the accounts?

After all, the CEO managed to AVOID publishing the accounts for HOW LONG?

ONE thing stands out all of a sudden.

In comparison with us was the apparent "dignity" in which Rupert was resigned from Saints (the second time).

Perhaps someone down there should read up on Rupe's modus operandi and get the buffoon to sign an NDA!

My view on the administrator. He's an odious little man. He can guarantee to save the club, but only if everybody else agrees to be dragged down to their cheating scumbag level.

All it needs is for:

1. The PL to agree not to deduct any points, which he knows beyond a shadow of doubt is against the accepted rules of the competition

2. The PL to agree to let him sell a few players outside the transfer window, which he knows beyond a shadow of doubt is against the accepted rules of the competition, and

3. The PL to give him money, which he knows beyond a shadow of doubt he is not entitled to receive, and which he will use to pay back a small part of the money which they have systematically stolen over the past months and years, and which they have used to cheat their way through the league and cup competitions.

And if they don't agree, well it won't be his fault, will it?

Lets face it, Pompey are fűcked already, and the PL brand is already severely damaged. If the PL now start to break their own rules right, left and centre, they will end up just as fűcked as Pompey. Let common sense prevail for once.

Man United was a bigger rival for us than your lot for many years, as anyone that went to the Dell in the 70's will tell you.

As far as Chanrai's plans and their legality, I'm sure we'll find out more over the next few months, but I see that Fratton Park still belongs to Portsmouth City Football Club Limited with a Portpin charge on it, despite Chanrai saying it belonged to him and he was leasing it to the club for £1M a year.

You lot really do believe, on a regular basis, every morsel of sh !t that's fed you from Fratton, don't you. What a clueless bunch....and you'll never learn. From John Deacon, through Terry Venables and now Gaydamak, you sailors get a regular bumming and still take it with a toothless grin...[/QUOTE]

Thats the best comment on this thread :D

And the comment that the Pompey Trust already has a bank account and a website. In some ways, therefore, it's already ahead of PCFC (in administration) Ltd. in the rush for next season's playing licence.

Last night's Radio Solent program can be heard again here :-

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p006mycr/Portsmouth_FC_Special_26_02_2010/

The bit that interested me was around 14:20 -> 18:00ish that talked about the 2 votes for a CVA.

IMO I still think that Gaydamak + Chainrai are working together and are going to stitchup both votes to get the CVA (1p in the pound ?).

They will then either get a higher return on the land sales (150% of value)to make up their losses, or obtain the club on the cheap with zero penalty points next season.

Nice article again by David Conn. I dragged this little snippit out...

The Premier League rejects the idea that this is a major embarrassment that should prompt a bout of soul-searching. Portsmouth's collapse is due to rank bad management and overspending, they say. That is true, and it is the administrator's job to decide whether the problem results from even worse practices than that. But as far as we know, Portsmouth did nothing against any rules; they followed the accepted Premier League model for a club – overspending, beyond the club's true means, financed by loans from an owner and banks.

Portsmouth's core problem at the end of Sacha Gaydamak's ownership last summer was that he, who had passed the fit and proper person test and satisfied the league he owned the club rather than his father, the now convicted gun-runner Arkadi Gaydamak, had become simply not rich enough. Then the overspending became unsupportable and Pompey, three owners later, have collapsed.

The latest, Balram Chainrai, loaned money, apparently £17m, into the club in return for mortgages on Fratton Park and the club itself, and it should be noted that this gives him priority to be repaid first and, most likely, emerge again as Portsmouth's owner. The players have to be paid in full for the club to be allowed to continue, and the "ordinary" creditors, again, will be paid a fraction of what they are owed. That is what infuriates HMRC about football clubs, and the tax authorities are certain to be left short again.

The above in Red has already been discussed on here. As to Chainrai ending up as owner...lol, we have said that for the past fortnight.

The bit in green, is my main point. Who in their right minds, will want to do buisness with Poopey now. Local firms have been stung twice by these cheats, I would think they would find it hard to operate, short of 'cash in hand' contracts IMO.

I am sat at Cape Town airport reading this laughing out loud. Trying to explain to the locals why the plight of the fish fookers gives me such joy.

What I may of missed is the rallying cry from 'The Best Supporters in the Land'. Have they arranged a bucket collection, Pompey Aid or players deferring wages?

I doubt it, I doubt they will even fill the away end for what could be their last ever game today or their ****ty stadium for a premiership cup tie next week.

GM is right, we had other rivals, they only ever had us. To the decent fans, I am sorry for your loss. But you do have the opportunity to build a new club that is not reliant on the hatred of your posher neighbours and free of the crooks.

Expert opinion is that the sign of a club in big trouble is when they borrow against future revenue.

Pompey administrator's no.1 survival plan? - spend all future revenue on past debt....this comedy is far from over.

By the way mr Broon talks about his concenrns for the communities of football clubs but he doesnt give a toss about the forth comming cuts that will hit the navy dockyard and mothballing of ships and boats(For dell days)
