Speculation!

Right I've had this from three sources now including one well connected from here.

Our man will be announced before the Ajax game which will include our new owner attending the press conference.

The person that has been given the managers job is on holiday and has been since he was seen at staplewood after being caught talking to Stewart Henderson.

However my 2nd source has confirmed too it's him our fav who is coming in with a few players to be announced before the Ajax game.

And now my third source and he does get involved in top local football and knows a few people, Anyway he tells me the bets are rolling in for Dennis Wise and even shows me a £150 bet at 20/1.

Now my big question is this.

Dennis Wise as director of football perhaps but I can't see WGS accepting that.

So does that mean Wise is 2nd option as Wgs may of changed his mind during his week away in Malaga?

Really cannot see Dennis Wise rushing to fill another DoF post after the 'humiliation' that he suffered at 'toon, especially with a big name in the managers chair. Just don't see it to be honest.

According to well-informed Pat over on the UI; Strachan will be announced as manager, either tomorrow or Thursday. He will have a 5 year deal with hefty bonuses for each and every promotion. Targets have already been agreed and money made available with a huge budget.

????????????

Wishful thinking. Sounds similar to the dream I had last night after the one about me and Lucy Pinder. ;)

Nice if it happens, but for the time being it's just a dream.

Strachan maybe true but I cant see players coming without him seeing the current squad and coming up with players he wants.

Perhaps Saga Rasiak might stay with Strachan

Since been told that the WGS training kit got delivered to his house on Monday ready for when he comes back from holiday.

Too many things are pointing towards him and that's me down the bookies for a £200 bet.

In that case it should still be on his doorstep as he is away on holiday or do they have large letterboxes in Thornton Avenue.Somebody whip round there and aquire it pronto.

I really cannot see him becoming our next manager but would like to be proved wrong.

The Echo piece doesn't really say anything authoritative though. A statement from a club spokesman about hoping players remain with us until the new manager arrives, but that's about it. The comment about when it may happen sounds like the Echo just guessing - just like us on here then... ;)

Maybe I'll point my bike wheels past St Mary's on my way to work around 11:30 - if there's a phalanx of TV vans there I'll let everybody know just as soon as I'm in the office! :)

isn't Wise one of the few names ruled out by Oldknow?

I really hope so. I have seen him described as a nasty little man with a Napoleon complex. Seems pretty accurate to me.

Anyway, I can't see him as being a fit with the Swiss way of doing things. Morals, ethics, that kind of thing.

I'm sorry Pilchards but I'm really struggling to decipher this. Are you saying that the rumours indicate Strachan, or wise , or that you've heard both rumours?

Subsequent posters on this thread seem to be interpreting either way depending on how they want to read it!

My view for what it's worth, is:

Strachan ...wonderful!

Wise ...bloody hell. You must be joking - old school, poor man's Redknapp, and not very bright.

The 2 together .. can't see Strachan agreeing to that personally.

K.

Been to William hills and coral and no bugger will take my bet as we are out the premiership, I wished I paid more attention to the bookies the bloke did for Wisey, as I don't have his number either.

:-(
