John B Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 In another thread most people have Davis in goal tomorrow I know he played against Luton made some good saves but stayed on his line a lot as usual with potentialy a new defence who will Pardew pick I wonder

Arizona Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Bart for me. Absolutely nothing against Davis, he is a great 'keeper and I'd be happy to have him in the team. Bart however has done nothing to deserve being dropped and was in great form until he was dropped for the cup match. I was happy to see him playing well after his drop in form under Burley and getting a lot of undeserved stick on here.

Charlie Wayman Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Should stick with Bart, he's done nothing wrong to deserve being left out. Kelvin will be key later in the season if we get near the play-offs and pressure starts to kick-in when kids tend to get the 'sammy jitters' so we need him 100% fit and 100% ready for the fight; my guess is he isn't really up to that level just yet through lack of match practice. SNSUN Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Who voted for Forecast you FARKING JOKERS! I'd choose Bart, again his form for us recently has been good, not brilliant, but good. He kept the first clean sheet in ages, something Kelvin had failed to do for a while before his injury, and Bart has earned the right to continue, until he makes a hash of it. I think Kelvin is brilliant, but it can't be easy for Bart to play well and then see himself dropped from the first team.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 I can't believe I'm going to say this, as last year I was one of his staunchest critics, but it's got to be Bart for me. He has really, really impressed me.
beatlesaint Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Bart I hope, I love Kelvin but Bialkowski has done NOTHING to warrant being dropped. I couldn't agree more. Bart could well be the future for us, best not upset him when there is no need. If Kelvin is not 100% then he should be on the bench. Kelvin is our no.1 choice and so he should be BUT until Bart fouls up he should keep the shirt.

bjk Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 A very difficult choice to make we have 2 great keepers but for me Kelvin is the better keeper and needs to get back to being first choice.Up until Bart got his run in the team i didn't have a lot of confidence in him but he has improved dramatically and if he keeps his place then it's not a problem, but Kelvin is the best keeper in league 1. Badger Posted 15 January, 2010 Share Posted 15 January, 2010 Colchester away, Bart looked nervous and very uncertain, has to be Kelvin all day long I think that summarises him,and my concerns over his reliability,he goes to pieces easily. Very Difficult, but I think we should be playing Bart, He is going to be our future keeper and can only improve with experience. I am sure Kelvin knows this. Don't think he will be to be honest.I expect an investment in a quality keeper in the summer .

I Disagree, Kelvin unfortunately for him, lost his place.....Bart has deputised very well.....so its now up to Kelvin to re-gain his place. Thats competition! I rate them both very highly. StDunko Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 I would choose Kelvin, but I was very impressed with Bart in his spell between the posts. I wonder how long we can keep them both here? I'm surprised that Bart has not gone elsewhere already. Is he on a particularly high wage for a 2nd choice keeper?
Arizona Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Don't think he will be to be honest.I expect an investment in a quality keeper in the summer . Not quite sure what you're expecting from our 'keepers, but both are easily CCC quality, Kelvin even has a couple of seasons in the Prem under his belt. Unless one of them leaves, we're fine between the sticks. I think Bart is potentially better but at the moment there is nothing between them so Kelvin deserves to keep his place IMO. But Bart had the place before the cup game, so surely HE deserves to keep his place? I would choose Kelvin, but I was very impressed with Bart in his spell between the posts. I wonder how long we can keep them both here? I'm surprised that Bart has not gone elsewhere already. Is he on a particularly high wage for a 2nd choice keeper? Doubt it. Was signed in CCC as a teenager, so is all but a youth product. Hasn't done much since then to earn particularly lucrative terms.
ribbo Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 sucks to have 2 of league ones best keepers in the same squad, but kelv is no1, no matter how good bart is or could become. Barts done nothing wrong at least now pardew knows he can chop and change easier and know that both keepers could perform, we've got 2 keepers who are top CCC quality imo. Window Cleaner Posted 16 January, 2010 Share Posted 16 January, 2010 Kelvin seems to be the preferred choice for AP. If you listen to his interview of yesterday he lists Kelvin as one of the players that can 'go all the way with us' along with Lambert,Morgan,Lallana,Fonté and Seaborne (I think) although there may be others.
