Ponty Posted 10 April, 2010 Author Share Posted 10 April, 2010 The teams above us will definitely be getting nervous now. No doubt about it. We only need to win our game in hand and close up by a point per game to snatch this.

bender Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 If we can just make up another 2 points during next weeks two games, that would make us 6 points off going into our easy game in hand. Could then be 3 off with 3 to go. Coommmon!!

ART Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 A really vital win. As it stands, if we win every remaining game we are within reach of all teams out of the top two. The pressure is on them and they will have bigger jitters than us. Go for it Saints. Looking to the past Saints and Norwich have been promoted and relegated together several times. The omens are good. It may come down to goal difference. On that score we've nothing to be scared of. Go for it Saints. It's yours for the taking.:smt008

Saint 76er Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Still hanging in there! Well done today Saints, in a tight tussle. Psycrow Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 With our goal difference we are only 7 points off with a game in hand. Don't think it quite works like that... If we only make up 7 points, goal difference don't really matter...
Saint Without a Halo Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Suddenly for the first time this season we are in the same 10 points as the play offs i.e the 60's we are on 60 points and Huddersfield and Colchester are on 68! makes it somehow seem that little bit closer! That game in hand is now so so crucial

SO16_Saint Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Don't think it quite works like that... norwaysaint Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Well, we know we probably need to win the next 6 in a row, which is possible if unlikely, but now all we need, if we manage that, is for Colchester and Huddersfield to get at least one loss and one draw each. Hopefully they'll draw against each other.
Psycrow Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 it does because if were level on points we will be the higher placed team Yeah, but if we only make up 7 points, we won't be level, that's my point. anyway, today isn't a day for arguing
NY Saint Posted 10 April, 2010 Share Posted 10 April, 2010 Saints, Oldham and Brentford winning were great results for us, as obviously was the West Ham result Its going to make an exciting end to the season in a positive way. Even if we don't make it up this season, and assuming we can hangon to the current squad, I'm excited about next year. The foundations are in place and we're contenders. What was up with the drop "Barnard for Puncheon" move today - very brave or a little negative? I thought Puncheon was a winger? Was it meant to bring Antonio through the center more?
