5 Live - new manager in by Mid week

I think we will all be very happy by mid-week, and it will show that NC does have the best interests at heart. It's just questionable about how he goes about it sometimes!

God I hope so, the current 'Limbo' is really getting me down, me and the majority I'm sure. Onwards and upwards, hope to God he really does know what he's doing.

Well 5live would be more on the ball than Talksport - Bobby Gould covering the game for them who has just said Cortese took over following the death of the Chairman!! FFS don't bother covering the game if you are that ignorant. He mentioned Zola but probably got all of his information from the stewards!

Just heard 5Live, very interesting.

They nutshelled it regards the sacking; a row over Guly.

The new manager will be a bit wow.

Also the canvassing of Phil Brown; Saints are a big club, a challenge any manager would like, I get on very well with Les Reed.

I missed the nub of that bit, ( The Guly part) phone rang at the wrong time - what was their synopsis of that?

and it will be someone who will show the fans NC knows what he's doing.....

So, Martin O'Neill or KK it is then. Unless of course its Paul Hart.

Also the embarrasingly grovelling and toadying of Phil Brown-nose; Saints are a big club, a challenge any manager would like, I get on very well with Les Reed.

Just edited the last sentence of your comments.

Apparently NC texted AP to ask why Guly didn't play a larger part of the game against Bristol Rovers, this then caused the row that ultimately lead to the sacking.

Good Grief - whoever it is will need the skin of a Rhino then - makes it all the less likely to be a Brit either - unless there's a brilliant British manager who also happens to be a total yes man lying around unnoticed somewhere....

Yet today, with a caretaker manager in charge, one would presume NC has complete control - but lo and behold -Guly is not in the starting eleven. Weird huh? Or could it be that the above statement may not have too much of a grain of truth in it?.......

I was a bit puzzled by Tim Flowers just stating that the club is known for its stability!

I couldn't see if his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek because he was on the radio.

Did he have trouble getting his words out properly? That is usually a tell tell sign of tounge being in cheek.

He's going to have to be judging by what I am watching right now

Did he say the MAJORITY of fans ? If so it has to be Hoddle, because we can ignore the vocal minority who don't know what they are doing !

You just do this now as a p!$$-take, don't you! It creases me up. (The tag-line does have a best-befoire date you know, so make the most of it now)

They need a miracle......not a manager!!...........I for one reckon the overall reaction will be "totally underwhelmed" by the new incumbent.........struggling against Rochdale........who would want the job other than some lower league journeyman manager which is frankly what we will probably get!!

Twill be Roberto Donadoni - the name came to me in a dream I had...

Thought about him to, Especially when i read on Sky that he was interested in the Villa job, Although he may have knowledge of the English game not sure if that extends to League one. Can't see him being up for a trip to Dagenham and Redbridge.

Absolute rubbish..they are guessing...If they knew they would have said a name, the press don't care about us so if they could scoop someone else with news they would have done...

Or perhaps they are now best friends with cortese and he told them and asked them to keep it quiet?

If the new manager had told someone in the press and they didn't want it to come from them they would have passed it on to someone and it would have said by now.

The funny thing is Phil Brown is summarising on the Oldham game for BBC Radio 5 Live today. I guess he may have told the BBC guys that he has had an interview and maybe even been offered the job. So it may have not come from the club but the prospective candidate himself!
