Lallana and Chaimberlain

Chambo went over on his ankle, so it could be anything. It could just be sore for a few days and then he'll be fine, or there could be more damage than first thought. We'll probably hear something by Saturday RE: the injury situation.

Adkins was pretty positive sounding about it on the interview, and we haven't rushed about trying to replace him today. So I don't think Chambo is too bad at all.

We didn't need to we have Jonno Quick chomping at the bit for his chance. Also Adkins would have had no idea on the extent of the injury at the time of the interview.

Not heard anything on Chambo yet, but Lallana will be back in 10 days (i.e for the MK Dons game)

Considering how reticent the club is about making official statements (I hear Morgan is out for the season, but is this confirmed ??), I would like to know your source about Lallana.

chambo has been taken out of the england under 19's squad

Good news, he was never going to be fit for any games over this weekend anyway - which is why it's now turned into a bit of a blessing that the Plymouth game is called off.

At least it gives us a good week with him, resting up, giving him the best possible chance for Saturday.

Chambo might get some pretty harsh treatment from MK Dons anyway.Might not be the end of the world if he had to give up his place to a bigger stronger player for once.

If Lallana is fit then we're fine. NGuessan or Forte can do a job and take their chance if Chambo is out, it still provides the pace so we're not doomed without him. Without both of them most championship teams would struggle, let alone L1.

I have to say N'Guessen is one of the worst players i've ever seen in a saints shirt, at Charlton the other players only passed to him when there were no other options available and Harding had a go at him a number of times.

Scored a very nice goal though, should have been our winner as well.

He was quite good at Exeter, the next home game he was shocking though and seems to have been every time since then. We were warned!!!

To be honest, we looked far more effective on Tuesday night after they went off. Lallana is a must start every game if he's fit, but I wouldn't say the same for Chambo personally. Guly look well up for it when he came on on Tuesday. Personally, I'd go with Guly Hammond Stephens and Lallana regardless of whether Chambo is fit.

Another thing I noticed from Tuesday is the number of Saints supporters laying into N'Guessen. There was one guy in block F who was complete *****. N'Guessen worked ****ing hard on Tuesday and had a perfectly good goal chalked off. He put in a couple of great crosses, and he drew two men every time. He's really not as bad as people make out. There were some heavy touches, but the same can be said of RL, AL, AOC and RC.

Perhaps with those N'Guessan crosses you need some sort of aerial presence in the opponents box, not sure that we had much of that on Tuesday, then again I haven't looked at the second half yet..

Agreed. I posted something similar on the Charlton post match thread.

I can only assume you haven't seen that many players playing for us!

I think people are forgetting what Adkins said when Forte and N'Guessan first joined us. He said they had speed but needed some top coaching to become usewful players. He felt Staplewood was the place they would get that coaching.

If Lallana is back for MK Dons and Chamberlain only out for two weeks then that wouldn't be too bad, the rest might do AOC some good anyway.

So that will mean Lallana won't actually miss a game and Chamberlain would (probably) miss MK Dons and Charlton, possibly back for Leyton Orient. Given the number of fixtures in League one in the next two weeks for other sides, it's not the worst time for them to have knocks. It's the period between 23rd April and May 7th that is going to be critical, so as you say, the rest may be a good thing.

We'll be fine. 11 days is a decent time for a turned ankle. If it's more than that then we will have time to work on our contingency plan. I know the knee-jerk swiss army brigade think all is lost buy there are 10 games left. There are more than enough games for a new partnership / understanding / pattern to emerge. And given it's mostly the same players in the squad it's hardly time to slit wrists. Unless you want to. Feel free. I will wait though, until long after we win automatic promotion this year...

Connolly could be a crucial player in the last ten games, provided he does not need to spend time in the treatment room.

I doubt it. If he does any more then a few token substitute appearances I would be surprised. Great player on his day but his time has passed.

Misses 3 or 4 games then :(

Does it really matter to you though? Serious question (we all know how much you love adult debate), because if you are serious about wanting us to give up on the automatics and concentrate on the Play Offs, surely Chambo being out increases our chances of losing more games, hence finishing 3rd or below... so you're happy, right?

In fact, let's keep our fingers crossed that Rickie and Jose pick up knocks in training leaving them out for a couple of weeks. THEN A PLAY OFF SPOT WILL DEFINITELY BE OURS!!!!!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA

This pr1ck isn't a saints fan. Happy to come onto the board and whinge like the little girl he is when saints don't perform too well but no where to be seen when we win a game, prob makes him feel sick to try and praise the team. Saints are better off without the likes of lard ass supporting them, nothing good to say about the team at all. I'm annoyed even wasting typing time on his useless life.

I see what you did there, brilliant.

Oh,the irony.

You can often find me on here when we win,but i will reserve my raptures for when we achieve something, unlike others.

We are playing some of the worst football i can remember, since i was in the family centre at the dell anyways, and i'm in my 40's now and considering the fanfare given, Adkins has done nothing of any substance.

Look at the squad!,look at how we struggle and limp along,it's criminal.

I won't wait for you to argue your point, you will just have personal digs and be rude, something i will not resort too.

We may well get promoted, and here's hoping we do,but it will be done under the stewardship of a manager that has fallen short of what was expected, by some way.

We are very mediocre,at best.

You may laugh, and that is your opinion, which i respect.

But we are playing attrociously, especially when you consider ALL the factors.

We flatter to deceive.

I remain hopeful we gain promotion, but when all is said and done,we have underperformed thus far.

Anyway, what am i doing, when you can explain yourself with an emoticon why try and argue your case.
