Yate Saint Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 Well you never know we might get 6 points. We probably got more chance of playing 4-4-2 to be fair.
St Marco Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 As much as i want to believe were win those 2 games my mind says "get real". Wolves and Reading are scoring for fun, they play attacking football the way it is meant to be played. If you go into a game looking for a point against them your get massacred. If Jan sets it up so we have only 1 up front we will get mashed. So i dont expect us to win at all but i do expect we try. If we lay down and die then all hell is going to break loose. corsacar saint Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 Wolves have not beaten us since the early 81/82 [ definately around that time], so who knows for that game. Regarding Reading I think we will get a pasting.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 Wolves were thrashed by Norwich who Saints beat. Anyone can beat anyone in this league. I just hope we play some experienced defenders that don't get bullied by their forwards and play 2 strikers up front for a change. If Jan/Lowe picks the same line up as last satuday he should be prepared for the flak he gets.
Saint_clark Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 I think we will beat Wolves to be honest, but can't see us getting anything at Reading.

LGTL Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 Reading are going to absolutely destroy us, it could be extremely humiliating. I'm surprised we have sold so many tickets actually. O well should be a good trip anyway.

1976_Child Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 we will either get 7 points or none. And personally I don't think it is likely that we will get 7 points.
RoswellSaint Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 On paper, it looks highly unlikely but this team surprises us every now and then - in both good and bad ways. Having failed to score at home in so many games, what chance against Wolves? Maybe more chance away at Reading? Wishful thinking.

They've not worded it that well, but the Reading ground is right next to the M4.Can I suggest M3/A33 right to the Mad Stad from Saintsland? Feel free to take a short trip on the M4 though, many people do, but you'll be using extra fuel. Of course, if you're coming to sunny Berkshire from London, Bristol or even Theale then the M4 will do the job nicely. Please allow me to be pedantic. Just been told my job is disappearing. Whilst it's obviously one of our more trivial concerns in the general scheme of things the OS is actually completely wrong.....someone travelling from Southampton wouldn't touch the M4 (other than driving over it on the A33, having left the M3 at Basingstoke) http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=reading&countryCode=GB#map=51.45499,-0.96926|10|4&bd=useful_information&loc=GB:51.45499:-0.96926:14|reading|Reading, Berkshire, England, RG1
Charlie Wayman Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 I agree with the originator of this thread, not a snowball's chance of even scoring against these two. Will lose 4-0 to Wolves and 2-1 to Reading

sunrise Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 I can see us getting ripped apart by Wolves and Reading - I can see one of those 2 teams scoring at least 5 past us. Yes I know I'm being extremely negative but thats the way i feel at the moment.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 November, 2008 Share Posted 11 November, 2008 Play 4 4 2 and add some experience and steel to the side and we may get something but i doubt it. Zero points i`m afraid and maybe a pasting from either team too:(

Neil Posted 12 November, 2008 Share Posted 12 November, 2008 Got to try and fluke a win against Wolves somehow, although strangely enough I think we will play well against them (but still probably lose). Reading could easily get seven or eight against us.
um pahars Posted 12 November, 2008 Share Posted 12 November, 2008 Beat Wolves 2-1 and get spanked 4-0 by Reading. You heard it here first. I was going to paste something very similar. I don't see why we can't turn Wolves over (1-0), but I also think Reading will thump us 3-0.

LGTL Posted 13 November, 2008 Share Posted 13 November, 2008 Reading still have a decent premiership team IMO, were a little unlucky to get relegated and think they will be Champions. We on the other hand have last years reserve team, who didn't win the reserve league. Can't wait...
