I am not now to notice, that women are far more ruthless when it comes to these matters. I mean, they will standby on the outskirts while bros duke it out, but when the fight is done, and one bro is lying broken & beaten on the floor, woman will have no compunction in walking over and stamping on his testicles :(

Not at all, we're just not so chicken scared that we feel the need to fawn over him. The women here were as honest about what we thought when he was around, as now he has gone.

It's Twitter Pal in Turks speak bear.

I'm going to precede all my statements with "Listen pal," from now on. I've tried it out in Office + it adds a certain frisson of masculinity to my pronouncements. I.e. "Listen pal, yes I would like like a cup of tea tks," is getting me some slightly concerned looks, but no question I am also receiving additional Respect.

I know they didn't stick to their side of the bargain but they are propa geezers - should we up hold our end of the deal?

Aston Villa[edit]

Current stadium status: Reconstructed.

Aston Villa have planning permission to increase Villa Park from 42,000 to 50,000 seats by expanding the North Stand,[7] with their American owner Randy Lerner apparently keen to boost capacity. Villa Park has been all-seater since 1994, when the Holte End was rebuilt, but did not reach its current capacity until the Trinity Road Stand was rebuilt in the 2000–01 season. No major developments have taken place since, although in the late 1990s it was planned to take the stadium's capacity to more than 50,000.

Burnley[edit]

Current stadium status: Reconstructed.

Burnley have an ongoing £20m development of Turf Moor planned. This will involve refurbishing some of the older stands, and will see capacity raised slightly above 22,000.[8] Further development after that is probable, with the Chief Executive Paul Fletcher confirming a second tier would be added to the Bob Lord Stand after the club won promotion to the Premier League. This would increase the capacity to around 28,000. The redevelopment will also include the new Stadiarena stand which effectively converts an outdoor stadium stand into an indoor arena and exhibition space within six minutes.

Chelsea[edit]

Current stadium status: Reconstructed.

Following Roman Abramovich's takeover, Chelsea have examined expanding their current home at Stamford Bridge to a capacity of over 50,000.[9] Numerous problems over health and safety issues have stalled this, because due to the stadium's location fans can only exit onto the Fulham Road.[10] The club have thus been linked with moves to a number of potential sites in west London, including a site at Earl's Court, although the club have indicated no such plans exist.[11] A further stumbling block is that the club's naming rights are owned by the Chelsea Pitch Owners, which also owns the Stamford Bridge freehold. As a condition for using the Chelsea FC name, the club has to play its first team matches at Stamford Bridge. A move to a new stadium could mean the club having to change their name.[12] Stamford Bridge was extensively rebuilt between 1993 and 1998, with three stands being replaced and the circular track between the pitch and stands being removed, and the only pre-1993 stand at the stadium being the 1974 East Stand structure.

Crystal Palace[edit]

Current stadium status: Reconstructed.

In January 2011, Crystal Palace announced plans to move from their run-down Selhurst Park home to return to the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (on the site of the original ground the club left in 1915, a stadium that also hosted the FA Cup final from 1895 to 1914). The plans involve demolishing the existing structure and redeveloping it into a 40,000-seater purpose-built football stadium.[13] Tottenham Hotspur F.C. also released plans to redevelop the NSC into a 25,000-seater stadium, maintaining it as an athletics stadium, as part of their plans to redevelop the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.[14] However, Spurs' failure to secure the site, which instead went to West Ham United has left the road clear for Palace to pursue the site. Their current Selhurst Park home has been all-seater since the mid 1990s, holding more than 26,000 spectators. Wimbledon were tenants there between 1991 and 2003, and for six years prior to that the stadium also had Charlton Athletic as tenants.

Everton[edit]

Current stadium status: Reconstructed

Everton were planning to relocate to a new stadium in Kirkby.[15] This generated a large amount of controversy,[16] as it was beyond the city limits of Liverpool. In June 2008 Kirkby council approved the new stadium, however, following a public inquiry that was held in December 2008, the stadium was rejected by the Secretary of State in November 2009.[17]

It is planned to have 50,401 seats initially, with potential to increase to 60,000 at a later date. The club's current stadium has been all-seater (with a capacity of just over 40,000) since 1994, when a new stand was built at one end of the ground. The Main Stand was built in 1970, while the two remaining stands are refurbished interwar structures.

The first plans for relocation were announced in 1996. A site at King's Dock was identified and bid for in 2000.[18] These plans were then shelved in 2003 when chairman Bill Kenwright said that the club couldn't raise adequate funds.[19]

Hull City[edit]

Current stadium status: New.

Hull's KC Stadium, which opened in December 2002 with a capacity of more than 25,000 seats to replace Boothferry Park, is designed to provide for future expansion to a capacity of approximately 45,000 by the addition of a second tier on the Arco East Stand.[20] In March 2008 the Hull chairman said an expansion could potentially take place within two years if there was a clear need for further capacity.[21] In January 2011 it was announced that Hull, under new owner Assem Allam, were interested in buying the KC Stadium from Hull City Council in order to redevelop the stadium and the vicinity of it.[22] Consultation with the council commenced in May.[23] These talks broke down in September 2011,[24] leading the club to announce in December 2012 their intention to move into a new stadium should the club achieve promotion back to the Premier League.[25]

When Hull moved to the stadium in December 2002, they were still playing in Division Three (they reached the Premier League in 2008). For the 56 years prior to that, they had played at Boothferry Park but the decision was made to build a new stadium when a takeover by Adam Pearson in 2001 the club's new owner declared his ambition to build a stadium suited to top flight football, as Boothferry Park was too confined to develop a stadium fit for top division football.

The stadium is a complete bowl unlike bear who is a complete bell end, with all stands of equal height. There are two large screens at either end that can be seen from any seat.

The stadium has four stands, which are named after the areas of Southampton they face. The main (east) stand is the Itchen Stand, and faces the River Itchen. The opposite stand is called the Kingsland Stand. Behind the south goal is the Chapel Stand, and to the north is the Northam Stand.

At the rear of the Chapel, Kingsland and Northam Stands, there is a continuous, translucent 'panel' that is designed to allow light to access the pitch. A large section of the roof at the Chapel Stand, at the southern end of the stadium is also translucent, for the same reason

At the rear of the Itchen Stand, there are 42 executive boxes, and a police control room. The stand also houses the club's offices, changing rooms, press facilities and corporate hospitality suites. The four main hospitality suites are named after some of Saints' greatest players:

Terry Paine

Mick Channon

Bobby Stokes

Matt Le Tissier

The Northam Stand is home to the majority of the more vocal supporters, as well as visiting fans. Visitors can be given up to 4,250 seats (15 per cent of the capacity) for cup games, and up to 3,200 for league matches.

:( The lily that festers

I've started a poem. Can anyone help me finish it?

In my dreams the lovely Bearsy, is catching fish by the sea,

or skipping through the meadows, writing romantic poetry.

Then one night the dream turned darker, Bearsy came at me with a stick,

He shouted "look pal" in a menacing voice, and ...........??

Sucking on his willy!

The banning hammer strikes again

Now Turkish feels the force,

Barry Sanchez bit the dust and Glasgow Saint

Of course.

So many forum greats are gone

But Mods you need not worry,

They'll all be back with different names

To fund your annual curry.

There once was a woman named Lou

Who swallowed an exploding pill on the Loo

They found her vagina

In North Carolina

And her tits in a tree in Lords Hill

Ha!

It's funny how nothing sounds offensive when it's in rhyme,

Can I recommend Hypo writes this way more of the time?

Is Mr Turkish not part of the Ugly Inside gang of ruffians?

Yes Hatch. He usually appeared as Del Bianco. Similar persona, but a bit swearier and nawty.

Del was alright when he wasn't being a ****. How did he managed to get banned?

It wouldn't be a fitting tribute if we didn't recognise Turks occasional ability to turn into a French exchange student, yes? This is the way to the Tudor Museum, yes? You will give me back my money Turkish, yes? Not the face, Turkish, yes?

Turks; if you're still reading, you know I'm only joking, yes?

I'm confused.

So Turks would not have wanted a videoed eulogy from the England Cricket Team, and I guess that he wouldn't have been that keen on Rory's thoughts on his demise.

We tried very hard last night to honour his memory at a new (deserted) karaoke night here in town by only signing songs by the Smiths & The Cure & The Damned, but somehow I guess that wasn't what he wanted either.

Perhaps what we could do is have a whip round and get him a RyanAir return to Krakow. I can get the family to pick him up and give him a guided tour of Auschwitz and the surroundings and let them explain how many non-Jews also passed away in "such unfortunate Moderation circumstances". I liked him, I liked his consistency, but that OP and thread was a step WAY too far in any universe. It was uneducated as much as it was offensive. For me that is the saddest legacy Turks has left us. He was so much better than that.

In Memorium I'd think it would be simply the best to say that Turks was a forum legend. Those of us who have been here too long saw him for what he was, agreed with his sentiments (he was at least a Saints fan unlike some) regarding Prawn Sandwiches and Foam Hands. He was so EVIL towards the porr Forum newbies, the unwise or the inexperienced who walked straight into his traps. All of that was often Forum Comedy Gold. But it was also nasty for those that reacted (like the delectable and honorable Sue who I hope to meet again for a pre-match roast dinner and Ale one day).

For the rest of us, he was like a Kitten who although you could see he wanted to chase Mice and Birds and Cockroaches, we could always see he never quite had his heart in it. He played with them more than going for the kill.

Maybe it's a career thing, our last two Toner/Photo Copier experts have managed to self implode. It's been a sad weekend, but it's now time to move on.

It's time to talk about the Strength of our Franchise. The Demographics and reach of our catchment area and course, as our Global Brand builds, it is time to decide whether we extend the Itchen or the Kingsland first to create the XBox stand.

The Ottoman Empire has passed. Lawrence of Arabia reigns again.

But, I need more than sadness....I wanna see him cry dammit!

I think Bearsy's suggestion is probably the best: "stamping on his testicles". Not really my style, though it's a tempting thought.. How about tieing him to the bedposts and tickling him with a big foam hand whilst giving him a presentation of the ground expansion plans.

Talking of which, if we make Europe, will that make a difference to the plans? Discuss.

Okay brah's I can't believe i just read 5 pages of the turkish v pap causal racism thread from 2012, i really need to get out more.

What i did learn from it is as follows:

- There is a shemale pornstar called Del Bianco (thanks bear)

- One of our bro's was moaning cos his sri lankan girlfriend was getting leered at during the football, making him very indignant about racism (think he was confused about racism)

- Turkish's default comment when losing an argument was "you lot are a bunch of div's"

- Turkish could of been Walter White from Breaking Bad as his first name wasn't Derek but claimed White was his surname.

- I am always surprised that the mods are surprised when they lock a thread, they must know we are all div's by now as Turkish told us enough times.
