I remember how convinced people were that we wouldn't get promoted this time two years ago

We are many points off this time 2 years ago.

in fact, to match the points total of 2 years ago, we can only drop 13 points during the rest of the season.

yeah, not happening

I saw someone put up a 'Sport Republic Out' sticker coming out of Millwall. Any idea where I can purchase some? Being in my 60s, and childish, that might be the extent of my activism.😁

But they need to go asap.

this time 2 years ago we were 4th with 45 points, 14 more than now with 5 more wins and half the losses.

We MIGHT get lucky and scrape the play offs but i'd say at this stage even that looks very unlikely. Piss poor.

the year is 2035. Saints are languishing in the bottom half of the National League licking their wounds after a defeat by Woking, during which their forward signing from FC St. Pauli's academy (Saints' one closed down) failed to score yet again despite 90 minutes. Fortunately the club have Gavin Bazunu's 500th club appearance to look forward to and the players have been given a day off for it by their head coach, which amusingly coincides with his GCSE English exam. Social media is abuzz as there are rumours of Roerslev a seriously seasoned professional who once played for Saints in the Premier League returning in the January window. On top of this it seems that the go ahead has been given to build the sixth bar-restaurant at St. Mary's 'The Slug and Andersen' generously serving a mix of Fosters, Carling and Saints' own IPA 'Red and white' which has been applauded by local journalists Alfie House and Adam Blackmore who admit there is work to be done in the transfer window but it's ok as money is still steadily flowing into the club. An exciting new year beckons indeed.

If they’re ‘business and profit managers’, why on earth would they care about a bunch of people waving banners and protesting?

Boycott if you want but people don’t give up on investments worth hundreds of millions because someone wrote ‘SR Out!’ On a big piece of cardboard.

Agreed, might achieve getting Ankersen out though.

He probably has the right intentions, but he's clearly pretty clueless when it comes to running professional sports outfits and that's why he needs to shift it and go back into media or whatever he did before (god knows how he made money)

His problem is he continues to put his trust in his Rasputin, a.k.a. Rasmus. Until that charlatan, fraud and cancer on the club is removed we will continue to circle down the drain.

A couple of good players in January and we can easily get promoted through the playoffs

What a pointless fact, that season we finished 17th points clear if the team in 7th, we only need to finish one point better than the 7th place team to reach the playoffs. Automatic has gone but playoffs are still a realistic target.

Agreed. But I wouldn’t trust Sport Republic to get the players we need.

They brought in mostly good players this summer to be fair. The problem was they didn't bring in a keeper and their big striker signing was a huge flop

Genuine question..

How do we get these buffoons away from our club?

Stop going.

Stop buying merchandise.

Stop going to the bars and pubs on the outside of the ground.

Unfortunately, none of the above will happen.

I think these guys said their project was  a ten year plan. I don’t know when they started the project to play terrible crab like football ( maybe after Ralph left) but I reckon we are about 4 years into this bilge, so we have 6 more years to go and I don’t seem changing the ‘Southampton way’.

Thought last night was very depressing as we have seen that sort of game so many times now, with the aimless passing from one side of the pitch to the other. The kamikaze passing in your six yard box followed by an aimless boot up field. I can’t understand how we have gone from the football seen at Charlton and Leicester to the crap we had reverted back to in recent games.

People who have a ten year plan are usually just trying to distract you from the fact they have no one year plan.

I think their plan was to try and be a Man City lite team hence signing of a load of shit Man City academy players and playing tipppy tappy possession football. The signings clearly didn’t work out and the world has thankfully moved on from the tedious possession based game but we are still stuck in 2021 with the club intent come what may on seeing the plan through till the bitter end.

That's a strategy, not a plan. A plan includes the mechanisms to determine whether it's working over a variety of time horizons. All along they've said "it's a long term plan" without ever saying what success looks like at 6 months, a year etc.

Which is about the same as saying "fuck off and stop questioning us".

The news just gets worse. Now SR have failed in both their plan and their strategy. 🙂

I think most of their problem is Dragan isn’t a genius like Bloom or Benham and relies mainly on his mate Rasmus who’s a “2 ideas out of 10 are good” kind of a guy.

2 ideas? I wouldn't even say he gets 1 out of 10, right.

I've worked for Tony Bloom's company. Was that one of his off days?
