I’m of the opinion they fucked up even to the point of the home kits. Two seasons we’ve basically played it white under them, we aren’t Spurs. Yes there are kit manufacturers but someone ultimately has to sign off.

There’s just lots of weird decisions around the club.

I think in the grand scheme of things, there are plenty more important things to criticise SR for than the kit designs. But I do fully agree with you that this season's home kit is absolute fucking garbage, despite whatever dewy-eyed nostalgia it evokes in fans of a certain vintage.

Oh it’s a incredibly minor thing.

But if they get this kind of basic thing wrong then I’m not overly surprised by everything else.

I did write a list on this thread maybe in the last year of every SR have done both positive and negative since being at the club.
It’s somewhere way higher up in this thread, but I’d be fascinated to see what can add to it now.

There isn't much they get right, if anything. I'd give them a bit of rope if they were 6 months in, or even a year-18 months....but they're 4 years in and still making catastrophic decisions on an almost daily basis.

I agree with everyone on here who says the same - promotion under this lot is not viable, even if we somehow got there in the next 2 years, it wouldn't end well. We need these lot out before we can even think PL.

Back on side? There were 30,000 people down the stadium the last game. Sure the food kiosks and bars were rammed. They won’t care too much about serving little to no entertainment on the pitch if 30k seals still turn up and empty out their pockets. £40 a ticket as well to see bloody Millwall and still nearly a sell out. £9 for a sliver of pizza.

As I keep saying on here, it’s the fans that are the problem. We really need a strong vocal fans group akin to the likes of Rangers. They got Martin and some of the bored sacked in a few weeks. We can’t manage to all boo together 4 years in.

Slightly off topic but imo relevant to what could be going on behind the scenes at our club.

In the link below, it’s in Dutch, this Dutch newspaper speak to former goalkeeper Tim Krul.

https://archive.ph/xVZUa

Krul speaks about his career, staying in the UK after retirement and his studies. He mentioned how he wants to be a link between the boardroom and players and says something interesting things along the way.

He says that often businessmen who are very experienced in their trade buy a club and make a mess of it because they don’t have a clue how running a football club works.

Another point he makes is that these new owners will say, only buy under the age of 23 otherwise we can’t make a profit on them. He goes on to say that these owners don’t realize that you need some old heads in the squad to lead the team.

Probably nothing new but this is someone who has spent the last 20 years playing in England and has seen the changes.

The fans have to turn on them surely? We can't keep blaming the managers and give SR and easy out. They are atrocious owners. Totally out of their depth and clueless when it comes to football - they've spent millions and yet take the club backwards at almost every turn, and not just backwards, but presided over 2 absolutely horrific premier league relegations and the embarrassment of last season - we went a calendar year with only 1 league win ffs.. As for this seemingly nonsense enforcement of 5 at the back, it has got to end. No more of this. They've also gutted the scouting, academy, and coaching setups, the club's lost its identify and reputation, financially they've set the club back years.. and seemingly there is no way to escape their ownership bar administration and the risk of losing key infrastructure like the training ground or stadium etc.

I fear Dark dark days are ahead.

But after this, there can be no more excuses for SR. They are a cancer that is killing the club.

When is the fan advisory board meeting with the club next?

I think Fabrice is the chair of that, with Manji as vice chair.

So it's pointless.

Sports Republic wanted to appoint Gary O’Neill as our new manager but the fans protested which caused them to panic and employ Eckert instead.

Seriously would O’Neill do any worse than the current useless cunt?

I doubt he would be the yes man and continue playing the Sports Republic 5 at the back nonsense.

No, its not. He's another 5 at the back yes man for rasmus "smartest man in football" wankerson -  the only reason we dodged him is because the fans kicked up a fuss.

The next manager that we hire needs to play 4 at the back - thats an absolute minimum for me.

The whole fanbase needs to turn on these utter buffoons.

They’ve not got a single decision right since they’ve been at the club. Absolute amateurs who need to fuck off.

Banners, songs and protests please. Starting with an empty stadium for the FA cup.

Gary O'Neil and Tonda Randomfuck were the only two available managers were they?

O'Neil would have been another huge mistake.

At this stage there was absolutely zero point sacking Will Still, zero point. You gave him an entire summer, transfer window. The club have put this season in the bin and given up, so would it have been any worse sticking with Still and allowing him to mould more of his approach into the team?

Maybe that was the problem - he was getting to independent with his changes to the GK and away from a back 5. I think he saw the same game as we saw, he was limited by some very poor players though - but given what we've lurched to, we might as well have just stuck and allowed someone to build for once.

If Saints were a Championship or L1 at the time of acquisition I’m sure we would be in administration by now.

This post highlights the extent of the gaslighting that's gone on under SR.

They wanted Rohl in the summer but wouldn't deal with Chansiri.

They decided to keep Still when things were getting shaky. Rohl then joined rangers despite being linked to saints at the time and with all the links of unrest at saints hitting the papers... then just a few weeks later, things started to get really toxic towards the owners - and at this point they decided to spontaneously just sack the manager. As has happened every single time our weak owners have come under any serious pressure i should point out. That in itself is a massive klaxon.

But having sacked still, it was very evident that it was spontaneous because despite weeks of pressure and having now missed out on Rohl, they had no plan in place for who the next manager would be.

O'Neil was then the result of a hasty / panicked recruitment rush, and a badly thought through - thankfully they again caved to fan pressure (😆) re him as he would have been a disaster regardless.

But they are a car crash when it comes to dealing with fan pressure, and for making footballing decisions.

I’m glad they are happy with the squad and have their chosen one, playing their corporate style, as head coach. All coming together nicely.

I mean this as politely as possible and I say this with no tone of anger in my voice but:

Sport Republic, for all the money you have invested, you have been horrific owners.

You are not football people, you’re looking at the cheap option and trying to recreate something out of nothing.

You have rushed from decision to decision in terms of managers, transfers, styles of play.

Enough is enough.

Just sell up and fuck off. Group of fucking chancers.

Dragon Solak talks a good game but has presided over a real shit show.

Struggling to understand what he is trying to achieve with Southampton.

Also whoever thinks possession, tippy tappy football with 5 at the back is the way to go needs their head examining.

I think the style of football is entirely dictated by Rasmus tbh.

It was 4 years ago that they took ownership of us. Just over 4 years ago, we beat Brentford 4-1 at home in the Premier League with them set looking over their purchase - not having actually had any influence up to that point.

Fast forward 4 years....we have had 2 relegations, one of the worst ever PL seasons by any team, and we are sat 15th/16th in the 2nd tier. They have cycled through 7 managers and 4 directors of football in that time.

They are an absolute unmitigated disaster. It will never change, it will never get any better. They are destroying our football club and if they are allowed to continue unchecked we will not have a football club.

A lot of people use the argument 'there are many worse owners out there' - well, I ask you to read what I listed as their achievements over the last 4 years and tell me another club who have been killed as we have?

Spot on.

We are heading to League 1, administration, potentially the loss of the training ground or stadium etc. They are completely and utterly destroying the club, its a slow death by a thousand cuts. They need to sell asap.

Yep, coming to the realisation that its all coming from him. However its not working at all.

Surely Solak has to be pissed at what is transpiring.

We could always organize our own meeting with the club.

Book Rasmus and say we want him to come and do one of his legendary motivational speeches on breaking stuff for a group of young enthusiastic graduates. Find a conference room somewhere in town and give him an evening from hell.

And livestream the whole event, the media would love it.

Home - Rasmus Ankersen - Rasmus AnkersenBackground says it all i'm afraid. This guy may think he's a genius who can reinvent football, but the reality is that all he's doing is using the SR group to destroy Southampton football club. And if Solak can't see that, he'll soon lose all his investment as well.

GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR CLUB. Complete shambles, have no clue about running a club. Terrible managerial appointments and to cap it all assistant coach appointed today who has been sacked by Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Charlton and Colchester.....you couldn't make it up.

“If it ain’t broken, consider breaking it”.

Can someone ask Rasmus at the next fan forum about this and how much he sticks by it?

Does he have a follow up?
“If it’s broken, burn it”.
“If it’s burnt, chuck some gas on and burn it some more”.

Yes but never mind all that. Manji assures us that it’s the greatest period in our history.
