Wow! We are actually want him to sell him by the sounds of things

Which would be wonderful - question is who would be a buyer?

Perhaps as a PL 3rd/4th choice and u23 filler if a big club genuinely thinks they can coach him in the basics. They can’t make him 3 inches taller though nor a natural goalkeeper aka Peter Shilton who wasn’t a giant either.

As long as I don’t have to see him between the sticks at Fratton Park, unless it’s for the skates, I don’t really mind what they do with him.

If both of their keepers break their legs on an icy pitch, I’d offer him a free transfer in time for the game down there to rejoin his spiritual home.

We aren’t recouping the money we paid for him.

Then again I said the same about Sulemana, but at least he could occasionally use his feet, unlike Bazunu the goalkeeper who’s never been able to use his hands.

There must be some other data driven, clueless owners who would buy a lump of shit if it tick a few boxes on a spreadsheet

If we are now looking to sell him then the decision to play him in virtually every game this season is just absolutely bizarre, what does it say about McCarthy?

Playing Baz keeps him in the shop window.

The problem is that the window is transparent and people can see him through it.

I know it really is bizzare, they may as well have come out and said we have 3 really shit keepers but we are going to play the one we reckon is the worst so you all can see for yourselves and then we are going to replace him with a loan keeper and tell him ala West Ham and JWP that it's best you move on now Baz. This club....just when i thought there wasn't anything else they could surprise me with!

They did, Damien Downs.

The SR strategy is to buy promising young players and hope to sell them at a profit. Some dont step up and Baz is one of them. For me he simply isnt big enough to be a top keeper

Thats the least of his problems. His positioning is clueless and wafer thin wrist strength and inability to save anything low down to the left and inability to command the box are even bigger problems

Dear Saudi Arabia, if you’re reading, please don’t take away our Premier League-experienced, Man City-trained, Ireland international. And if you insist, just know we won’t accept a penny under £50m.

How many have there been tha Sport Republic have bought and sold on for profit?

Romeo Lavia

Kamaldeen Sulemana - somehow, and only just!

That’s it isn’t it.

Now time to name the players that have been bought by Sport Republic and since sold at a loss or loaned out. The list is significantly bigger.

I agree with your sentiment. However tbf, there is Fernandes, Livramento, Tella maybe a few more.

Agree wholeheartedly that this idea of getting in Man City / other youf for cheap and then selling for high bucks is a busted flush.

We should be buying players to make us more successful on the pitch, not for resale value. Last time we did that was in the Koeman era

They didn't buy Tella or livramento.

Tella was an academy product.

Livramento was pre-Sport Republic.

In the grand scheme of things there is hardly any that they have bought and sold on for profit.

So much for their “business model” whilst sustaining us as a Premier League team. 🙄

Hey! We are a player trading organization. It's not about the profit, it's about the trading!

...and we be tradin'

I think he’ll struggle to find a club.

If he goes to one with nothing to save (like Forster did at Celtic), people will pick up on the clean sheets and come to the conclusion he’s amazing.

Shittiest goalkeeper even seen at SFC in living memory = Gavin Bazunu

Shittiest outfield player ever seen at SFC in living memory = Damion Downs.

Cheers for that SR.

Stoke fans, in the main, seem unaware how bad Bazunu is 🙂

Viktor Johansson out with shoulder surgery and possible he doesn't play again this season, so a chance to get first team minutes with Stoke

Stoke, if you're reading this, forget the loan. Sign this geezer up on a permanent deal immediately. You won't regret it. He makes Peter Shilton look like Rita Stilton, and Gordon Banks look like Shabba Ranks. Trust us, Stoke. For God's sake trust us!

Stunned that he's suddenly gone from our number 1 to potentially out the door to Stoke. Nothing this club does makes any sense anymore. Just why the fuck have we persisted with Baz so long and not used McCarthy if they believed the same as us and he was not very good. I don't believe it was putting him in the shop window because anyone with an eye would realise he has some major flaws to his game.

Let him go and get more experience and see if he can improve in the second half of this season elsewhere. We have to hope Peretz is the improvement expected. Just glad we have finally done something about this GK problem.

Posted

Just shows Tonda is full of shit in his press conferences; but als sees what we see I suppose.

A new GK brought in as soon as possible.

The supposed “number one” for us loaned out with almost immediate effect.

McCarthy doesn’t even get in ahead of a GK that signed two days earlier and had hardly played for six months. Shows what he thinks of him.

Dog shit or cow shit analogy springs to mind

Watch him now go and have a blinder for the rest of the season and get Stoke into the playoffs . You just know it’s going to happen.

So with us wanting it sell Baz, Ramsdale likely to go, McCarthy and Long out of contract could be a complete overhaul of the goalkeepers in the summer, thanks the lord

Sounds like you have faith in SR to go ahead and sign the correct type of goalkeeper? 🤣

Just watch SR make things even worse after spending millions in 'improvements.'
