danjosaint Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) Tuchel has caught the hipster formation fuck abouts, weird formation with Curtis jones right back against Andorra and today chasing a goal take Kane off and replace with ...... yep no striker.... playing the fashionable 2x no10s even tho Toney sat on bench. Toney should do what Vardy did and tell them to go fuck themselves. Funny Bellingham getting booed everytime he got the ball Edited June 10 by danjosaint

Fuck off Yep. Inverted full backs too. I'm no Mike Bassett, but football isn't complicated. The likes of Tuchel try to reinvent the wheel and last night and the Andorra game show how that can work out. Square pegs in round holes please.

SaintsBarry74 Posted Wednesday at 20:55 Posted Wednesday at 20:55 Take it from Saints fans Tuchel, we know shit football when we see it. 1
CB Fry Posted Saturday at 19:52 Posted Saturday at 19:52 (edited) I see Brentford are set to appoint Keith Wigley, sorry Keith Gray, no sorry Keith Andrews as manager replacing Thomas Frank, promoted from within. Of course because it's them and not us it will work out just fucking fine. Edited Saturday at 19:52 by CB Fry
HarvSFC Posted Saturday at 21:03 Posted Saturday at 21:03 Fernandes was an unused sub for Portugal U21s this evening in their 5-0 win.
Turkish Posted yesterday at 16:48 Posted yesterday at 16:48 The world club cup is a bit of a joke Bayern Munich 5 Auckland City 0 after 45 minute

Turkish Posted yesterday at 17:30 Posted yesterday at 17:30 7-0 it’s literally attack v defence what’s the point of teams like Auckland being in it?

How have Chelsea, Benfica and Red Bull Salzburg got in? 10-0 now it could have been 20 if Bayern had got out of first gear ridiculously easy, does the competition no favours at all

Crooked organisation, run by corrupt third rate bond villain sets up money grabbing tournament with help from human rights abusing sportswashing crooked country, in a belated bid to wrest power from UEFA and it's greedy super league clubs. What sums up the spirit of football more? 🙂 4

Just about conference level

If the Club World Cup is a success they'll probably start expanding the number of teams in that too. Who knows, one day, Saints might be lucky enough to be in the position to have a 9-0 drubbing on the global stage.

Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted yesterday at 21:15 Posted yesterday at 21:15 7 minutes ago, whelk said: They are officially highest ranked teams over 4 years apparently Is it just based on UEFA competitions? Last 4 seasons for RB Salzburg: 2024/25: 34th place in group stage 2023/24: finished bottom of their group 2022/23: finished 3rd in group and then knocked out of Europa in first game. 2021/22: finished 3rd in group and then thrashed 8-2 by Bayern in first round of Europa. Surely that isn't the 9th best performing team? Presumably they're only there because there's a limit on teams from a single country...

I assume the table in the link is correct but it shows the clubs that miss out. Seems like winning the Champions League takes precedence, then club rankings. https://www.fotcalc.com/4-year-ranking
sockeye Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) I suppose ignoring the obviou$ incentiv€ the idea of the CWC is some ultimate competition that goes above continental cups like the Champions League. However, as everyone knows, and as Infantino is trying to ignore, clubs outside Europe range from mediocre to downright awful. World football is not at the level required for this idea yet, and dare I say it won’t be for decades. Edited 21 hours ago by sockeye 1

Midfield_General Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Second half of Soccer Aid was entertaining. Everyone else is having a light-hearted jolly kickabout for charity, then Carlos Tevez comes on and treats it like he’s playing for Argentina in a World Cup final, batters random celebrities and skinny Youtubers out of the way left right and centre, scores 4 in 10 minutes and then commits a textbook professional foul to prevent a breakthrough for an equaliser that would have taken the game to the penalties the organisers clearly wanted. In any kickabout there’s always one person who takes it just a little bit too seriously isn’t there. Also never thought I’d see Leonardo Bonucci ironing out Stephanie Houghton, but there it was. Straight through her. Got the ball though. Edited 12 hours ago by Midfield_General

Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Players being announced to the crowd one at a time in the Chelsea v LA game. For the love of god I hope the world cup isn't like this next year (it will be, won't it). Stadium is basically empty too (and this is a game featuring an American team). 1
