OK so who is it then?

Fairly sure it's Jelert, as Blackmore said he was doing his medical/was at the club y/day.

Thought Smallbone was injured

My bad. Well if he stays he'll remain our 4th choice CM but I still hope the club upgrade.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm curious who he doesn't rate in the current Saints team 😄

haha, this is where we have the good discussions about players:-

Baz, he can't stand

Stephens stealing a living

THB over rated

Smallbone boring boring boring

Edozie, he can't stand

Wellington, he would not have recommended we buy him. Not soley based on ability

Damion Downs, he just doesn't rate American players and thinks its a mistake signing him.

Adam Armstrong, offers nothing

BBD, what were our scouts thinking

These are the ones he believes we wouldn't miss if they all went tomorrow. I might have missed others he had a view on.

Sounds like an astute bloke! Entirely correct.

I'm not going to lie I like the recruitment animations. Also, good signing.

I know absolutely nothing about him. What's he like? Will he be a starter on the left? Will Charlie Taylor be off ?

A bit like the rest of you, starting to think something is a foot with Flynn. Is it him that's off and Smallbone is staying now Wrexham have the Cov kiddo?

As much as it's no secret he's been bit of a knob in the past, I still think he is a very good player for this level and adds to the group.

Would we realistically have Janker, Charles, Downes and Doumbia?

I applaud his scouting abilities, he’s better than the ones we’ve had in recent years. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤣

Can play left or right side. Right footed so stronger there. I think brought in to allow Breezy to leave given he's in his last year (maybe back to Mad Nate at Charlton?) and can cover Welly as he's injured.

Agree with all of that.

Ok - I am excited now 🤣

He can play left, right (he can make messi look shite) and also CM.

He's played lots of games at left back though, so for me he's now our starting LB without question. He's got a better level than most of our squad.

Who do you suggest we buy that doesn’t come with risk ?

We’ll also play Archer as our 9

Im not prescribed to the school that says we need a target man, we don’t play long balls like Wrexham do

Never mind "long balls" we're building our team around crosses into the box, who's getting on the end of those?

Crosses don't need to be high and looping to tall players to be effective

Did some research on this, Still doesn't set up for headed goals it's about low driven crosses and cutbacks. So mobile players who can finish off either foot are preferrable.

Edozie can't stand? He's pretty fast actually.

I don't believe I've ever read a player profile or scouting report in 23 years of working in football like that.

You might want to double what exactly he's doing in America..

Have we ever seen a turnover of players like we have this window?

We needed it, the squad was bloated with trash. Let's hope we don't fall foul to the 'gel' process now!

No promises on the height of the balls in there 😂

The signing animations will be outsourced to a media company

I believe we do everything in-house. Only reason I know is I looked into it as I'm a motion designer myself.

It was needed. And I applaud it. Just a shame the deals had to be done so late in the window after the season had started. The squad as it is, with a pre-season and Still's favourite formation, may be flying high in the table by now. Let's hope we click quick post International break.

Adam Lallana: Help or hindrance when it comes to gel?

Bring in Paul Weller the former Burnley winger as coach, he can style the gel. Rather than the pop star from Woking.

It's middling though really isn't it. It's still only ever 11 goals in a full season and at a rate of less than a goal every 2 games even then.

I dunno, it's one of them, I hope he comes good I just don't think players simply unlock something that they've never had.  And he looks like a headless chicken most of the time - granted mostly in the prem.

In his Middlesbrough season he was 21 years old and scoring more than a goal per game. That's an excellent rate for any striker, let alone a 21 year old

LOL, obviously thats not his scouting report of the players, thats his one liners, distinct and too the point.

Would be 7 new signings in starting 11 plus Charles. I suspect a lot of us would have been happy with that level of player change had it been proposed at the start of the summer.

The only uncertainty is how long they take to click together. Long season though so thats on our side.

Out of interest, what's his thought on Jelert?

Blackmore saying (he thinks) 1 more

Suggests to me that Still and the coaches don’t think Sesay is quite ready for regular first team action at this level, but question marks over Downes after yesterday (question marks or skid marks - you decide).

Four first team midfielders assuming Downes stays and Smallbone and Aribo depart is probably right over a long season with two games per week frequently. I think Aribo and his agent want Saudi so maybe not gone tomorrow.

With Jelert coming in, seems likely Taylor and/or Bree are departing.
