You know what? I’d love a job on £100k pw like AR just to cop over a few crosses for the goalies from the sidelines pre match as he’s doing.Trousering £100k and all he has to do is knock a few crosses in for AM to catch. Must be up there with easiest ways to earn £100k. Think it’s about £15k per cross. Nice. WP sir.

He’s not on 100K a week. Probably not even half of that.

Join bet365. Deposit £10. Watch the match. Withdraw £9.99. All super easy no hassle. Jeep £0.01 in your account so it’s “ live@. Then you can watch whatever matches bet365 is streaming all season. Including this one. And thru stream a LOT of good matches.

Stream not working? I’ve signed up so I hope it will!!

New kit actually looks decent when worn in matchday mode

When do you think that might happen?

All very pedestrian at the moment... No sign of the promised intensity yet... That said, probably more down to the weather than anything?

Jack Stephens in no man's land...

Unfortunately that's triggered another year's extension.

We won this 9-0 last season and had the worst season in our club's history.

Smart of Still to put the stiffs in to throw this game so that we can win an historic treble of Championship, FA Cup, and League Cup.

If it’s a hot as it is here in Gloucestershire it will not encourage a pressing game.

Mind you, these players will have taken Still’s comments that there doesn’t need to be much of an overhaul to take their foot off the gas.

Actually, that’s not right, they never put their foot on it in the first place.

The new manager is seeing what we saw last season.

Not sure we would ever be 1-0 down if Sean Dyche was our manager…

Crossing dreadful from Saints. If this is part of the plan for the coming season then it desperately needs improvement. Still will have seen that plenty of work is needed to turn that losing mentality into a winning one.

So many poor players out there today.

BBD, Armstrong, Fraser, Smallbone, Stephens, Bree, McCarthy etc

Charles has looked tidy, other than that, really poor even given it’s the first friendly. Eastleigh should do alright this season.

So the second half team will presumably be…

Bazunu; Sugawara, Quarshie, Wood, Welington; Downes, Matsuki; Robinson, Dibling, Edozie; Archer

That leaves Moore, Sesay, Ballard as subs to get a few minutes late on

Still haven’t got a clue why football started stopping the game because of medical situations in the crowd. Seems completely unnecessary and open to tactical abuse.

That's most of my 'players I don't want to see play for Saints again from last season' list, maybe Still started with the shite team?

Miscontrolled by Brereton Diaz was a common theme of the half. How is this guy a professional footballer? Smallbone very disappointing, too. Hoping the second half team shows a bit more promise!

Wellington should get a run second half, and whatever Sugawara’s defensive awfulness, he certainly knows how to put good crosses in. Wouldn’t be surprised if the manager wants new signings in wing-back and the wings.

Better to start shite and improve than the other way around… I attach zero importance to these games. They’re just about fitness and providing a chance for Will to see what he’s up against.

Hopefully he changes the lot because the bench looks a lot better to me.

100%. We've looked awful in preseason and looked good when the real games start and vice versa. It's all about fitness and trying a few things. Would be nice to get some goals second half though.

EDIT - you meant Still.

Re Smallbone….
He saw that at Stoke, then two years ago as well. He still looks like the upright brush in our kitchen dustpan set. Wasted the last two summers when he should’ve been on protein shakes and weights before pre-season.

Ralph kicked JWP up the arse about having a Tyro League physique and mindset, hence  going on to shithouse Zaha so wonderfully.

No such discipline around the club these days. Will has ability but locks you into 4-5-1 as he can’t tackle - as he just showed yet again as if Still wouldn’t have learned from the last minute of rage season v Arsenal - and doesn’t track back.

Club of dunces.
