Maybe if we start playing better than today. We probably have the strongest squad but other teams are performing better. It's a results business though and we're having a decent start to 2026.

Momentum is building, one handball away from 4 straight wins. Keeper that makes saves, 3 clean sheets in 4. Maybe, just maybe, we are finally going on a decent run that lasts.

Fully agree we have left ourselves a mountain to climb, but I think we might just have the tools to climb it. To be 14th and only 4 points off the playoffs shows how crazy the league is. I’m not sure the teams we are competing against are that consistent either. 

February is a big month.

Yeah February is huge for us, club can't complain about this run of fixtures,  up to us to make the most of them , would bloody love a win at Leicester on Tuesday

Picture the scene: 
Coventry choke and drop into the play-offs in 3rd place. We mount a late surge and steal 6th place. We get Cov in the play-offs. That would actually be incredibly entertaining and would probably generate a great atmosphere for the home leg after Lampard behaving like such a weapon when we played them.

Agree. Our football just isn't as fluent as it should be so we're scrambling wins rather than looking like a side good enough to make a challenge. We've improved with the back four and two decent full backs, a goalkeeper who can make saves plus options up front but there is something missing. It could be that our two wingers Scienza and Fellows are not quite on it at the moment. With them in electrifying form I think we'd be a real tough side for opponents but Scienza has dropped off and Fellows needs more assists and to start scoring.

With all the upheaval in the summer with so many key players sold I thought they’d go down but luckily it’s nothing to do with managers so anyone else would have done the same

Yeah me too really but Matty Fernandes is running the show - they love him KUMB. Burnley and Wolves are down, it's one place for a few teams but that's where it gets interesting as, bar Leeds, who are very good at home and picking up good results, you could say the others are "too good to go down" on paper. Forest have some good players but aren't getting results - they could be a victim of buggering about with managerial changes with Dyche shortly to follow. West Ham have a few excellent players but have recruited quite well in the January window. Leeds squad isn't the best but they are picking up results and Elland Road is a fortress. Palace could be in trouble - too many player sales and they spent big money on a misfiring striker. Spurs should, sadly, survive with the quality they have.

If it's not West Ham, Forest or Leeds for the drop, I genuinely think Palace could be in trouble. They're only 6 clear of the zone and their form is awful.

I don't know if anyone is interested but I am in Buenos Aires at the moment and went yesterday evening to see River Plate play their neighbours Tigre at the Estadio Monumental.  This stadium is also used for their national games and for visiting rock concerts. It's their version of Wembley. It's a horseshoe shape and I was up in the 'Centenario Media' in the centre of the horseshoe behind the goal. It holds 85,000.

Fabulous atmosphere with almost constant chanting. It's a shame that I didn't know the words. Both sides played 4-3-3 but Tigre were a lot sharper and quicker and scored first after 5 minutes. River Plate were defensively poor with lots of holes and followed the fashion of leaving acres of space for the opposition wingers to exploit.

Their ball control was poor and despites some slick interplay there were a lot of misplaced passes. Tigre were simply too quick for them and three more goals followed. Even at 4-0 down the home fans never stopped chanting despite being reduced to ten men by a high boot and were rewarded,  if that's the right word,  in the final minutes with a goal scored from outside the penalty area with a well-placed shot just inside the left hand post of an unsighted goalkeeper. 

An interesting experience and I would have liked to have stopped to sample the barbecues after the game. Quite a change from burger vans.

Some on here will admire the home shirts with their red sash.

Indeed it was quite an experience. Strangely enough because of the distance and the noise there was none of the normal interaction between the crowd and the events on the pitch. Even when "we" scored there was no sudden roar.

Entry was by facial recognition.  I booked the ticket through the hotel and before the game is was sent an email through which I had to upload my passport or ID. Then I went through a process of using my phone to upload a picture of me. Somehow it worked OK.

I didn’t get the chance to see a game there but I highly recommend wandering around La Boca and doing the stadium tour there too. Really cool part of the city, great BBQs like you say

It’s sad, no club deserves that and we know how it feels, albeit they’re issues been going on for many years more than ours did. Sounds like they’ve got a buyer so hopefully they get a decent one this time. Clubs of that size shouldn’t be in league one

Our three points yeterday gained us very little, we are still stuck in 14th while at least four of the teams that want that sixth spot also won yesterday. It will be very hard going to overhaul them all.

I can't see it happening but will enjoy the challenge.
