Should imagine other fans will be saying the same about saints come 3pm tomorrow, after a valiant 1-1 draw at home to the mighty Wrexham Edited Friday at 20:03 by AlexLaw76 1 1
SNSUN Posted Friday at 19:50 Posted Friday at 19:50 I don't mind these two slugging it out for a point each. Both will be in the mix for a top 6 place come the end of the season which, hopefully for us, makes them our rivals and thus two points dropped for both would be a good start. 2
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 19:54 Posted Friday at 19:54 Anyone else get deja vu when Brum gave it away edge of their own box?! 😅 Though that's the difference Champ to PL, guaranteed that ends up in the back of the net in the Prem. 1
RedArmy Posted Friday at 19:56 Posted Friday at 19:56 Ipswich a different kettle of fish without Morsy being a shithouse in midfield. Certainly not looking like favourites for the title. 1
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 19:58 Posted Friday at 19:58 Ipswich also look well off the pace, but not sure Brum can keep running at the pace they're going. Now expect Wrexham to come out and run like nutters the first 20 mins, hopefully we can get a few of them booked to calm things down.
Yorkshire Saint Posted Friday at 20:00 Posted Friday at 20:00 Can see Ipswich winning with a late goal or two..

SW11_Saint Posted Friday at 20:01 Posted Friday at 20:01 Ipswich will end up nicking this 0-1 I reckon…
saintant Posted Friday at 20:02 Posted Friday at 20:02 (edited) Two poor sides in that first half although there will be a certain amount of ring rust as we'll likely find out tomorrow. Brum and Ipswich will both improve as the season goes on. My big take is that any team with some quality players who can do the unexpected or take players on will be like gold in this division. Don't think we have much of this at the moment so will need to make some good signings asap. Nothing to fear so far but, o course, it's very early days. Edited Friday at 20:04 by saintant
tdmickey3 Posted Friday at 20:09 Posted Friday at 20:09 A severe lack of quality in this game tonight but early days I guess
RedArmy Posted Friday at 20:16 Posted Friday at 20:16 Kyogo is going to be a problem this season. Seems to be able to find the target from nothing.
Willo of Whiteley Posted Friday at 20:18 Posted Friday at 20:18 Ipswich look terrible. Birmingham look a little rash and despite Stansfield’s best efforts to smash it wide he scores 🤣
SaintBobby Posted Friday at 20:20 Posted Friday at 20:20 Not a great game this. But wow do Ipswich look poor over the first 60 minutes. 1

Saint Matty 76 Posted Friday at 20:38 Posted Friday at 20:38 This place will go absolutely up in flames if we put in anything close to as poor as Ipswich have been. 1
SylvianSylvian Posted Friday at 20:41 Posted Friday at 20:41 These teams suck. Feeling better about our chances this year 2
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 20:43 Posted Friday at 20:43 Ipswich have been terrible, Kyogo excellent. Tbh he's been the difference. 1
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 20:44 Posted Friday at 20:44 Also, anyone else watching streaming with 'Blues+'? I wasn't that fussed about Brum before but after listening to those 2 complete twats I fucking hate them now 😂 2
hypochondriac Posted Friday at 20:46 Posted Friday at 20:46 Neither team have looked great but Birmingham have looked a threat. Liked the look of their Asian striker. Ipswich at the moment showing that football isn't won on paper and despite their star names they haven't turned up. Worth saints remembering that one.
Football Special Posted Friday at 20:48 Posted Friday at 20:48 (edited) Thought Birmingham have looked well organised and up for the battle, plenty of energy, always gives them a chance and something we completely lacked last season, also just used to winning matches. RedArmy Posted Friday at 20:53 Posted Friday at 20:53 Laird wouldn’t be a bad signing. Local lad (Basingstoke) thought he was decent last season, better going forward than defending but bags of pace to make up for any errors.
SNSUN Posted Friday at 20:53 Posted Friday at 20:53 Harsh handball but I still think a point each for these is good for their promotion chasing rivals. 1

Both of them pretty well organised , solid and physical but a real lack of quality. Ipswich only looked like scoring from the Birmingham keeper doing his best Baz peak Russball impression ouch - harsh harsh penalty
Smirking_Saint Posted Friday at 20:53 Posted Friday at 20:53 Shit…. We’re going to win the league aren’t we 4 4
Willo of Whiteley Posted Friday at 20:54 Posted Friday at 20:54 (edited) Sums up the refereeing performance 🤣 Edited Friday at 20:54 by Willo of Whiteley
Harry_SFC Posted Friday at 20:54 Posted Friday at 20:54 The referee has been horrendous for Birmingham tonight
SylvianSylvian Posted Friday at 20:55 Posted Friday at 20:55 We can easily smash both these teams…the likes of Jack Stephens & Joe Aribo are a class above 2

SylvianSylvian Posted Friday at 21:00 Posted Friday at 21:00 These teams are absolute shite. We can take these cunts easy. 1 1
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 21:03 Posted Friday at 21:03 Ipswich didn't deserve that but it was pretty funny to shut those twats on the commentary up. Never heard such shite, makes BBC Solent sound like they support the away team.
AlexLaw76 Posted Friday at 21:03 Author Posted Friday at 21:03 Last season, Birmingham would have won that 3-0 at a canter

RedArmy Posted Friday at 21:04 Posted Friday at 21:04 If anyone was in any doubt that this league is weak as fuck. There you have it. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Friday at 21:06 Posted Friday at 21:06 Birmingham worked very hard right across the team. No suprise they kept Ipswich down to 0 shots on target until the penalty. Harried them, closed down space and put in a load of cynical tackles, that the ref was happy with from both sides sides. Dykes should never have had his arm up there. Unfortunate the ball hit it, but can't have complaints. Hopefully our data analysts can work at giving Will lots of work rate data, as our lot have a lot more effort to put in that they showed last season.
saintant Posted Friday at 21:10 Posted Friday at 21:10 The luck of Ipswich in the Championship continues. Penalty was harsh and Hirst showed what an arrogant twat he is by going to his fans and saying, 'That's what I do' 🙂 It got pretty feisty after that and I guess we should be pleased that two of the fancied teams have each dropped a couple of points. It was a poor match with few if any moments of real quality but both sides will undoubtedly improve. Let's see what we produce tomorrow but it's probably going to be a similar game littered with mistakes unless Will has worked some magic.
S-Clarke Posted Friday at 21:34 Posted Friday at 21:34 Pretty rubbish game if we're honest. Birmingham were better in the first half, but they huffed and puffed a bit. Ipswich were utter useless for the majority, but I think they're still finding their rhythm The ref ruined the game I think, he kept stopping the flow of it and had no real control. The pen just summed it up.

skintsaint Posted Friday at 21:43 Posted Friday at 21:43 Pretty average standard game, Birmingham pumped up for it at home in front of the cameras and blew it, Ipswich looked pretty poor but tough place to start for them.
SWLondon Saint Posted Friday at 21:48 Posted Friday at 21:48 I was surprised Ipswich did not look at all prepared for the pace of the game when Brum were obviously gonna come out buzzed and run like maniacs to start with. Ipswich's new midfielder looked a solid yard too slow for the game as well, as I said I bet Wrexham will be flying into tackles the first 20 mins so hopefully we're ready for it.
chownie20 Posted Friday at 22:02 Posted Friday at 22:02 The new £10m (?) midfielder from Lens which Ipswich signed looked miles off the pace. Hirst does naff all, poor man's Delaps barging into people left right and centre. I think they desperately need Cajuste and another midfielder able to get a grip of possession. Davis also looked shocking. Brum I thought looked pretty competent z but a vulnerability there if you get at them I think....and they have a Russball GK for sure!
