So far SR have done their utmost best to model the club on the proverbial Titanic - perhaps this is the final jigsaw piece in that aim? In all seriousness, to be fair this is a good move as it’s nice to see a proper connection with the city instead of the dubious branding of recent years. (…yes MLG, I know P&O were not connected to the Titanic 🙄). Edited 23 hours ago by Saint Fan CaM 1 1

The latter bought out the White Star Line sometime after they got into financial troubles because one of their boats sank. 3

Nolan Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago 44 minutes ago, East Kent Saint said: after they sack all the team and use agency staff you mean ? FFS. P & O Cruises and P & O Ferries are now two very distinct entities. when throwing around claims like that you need to be really careful about who you're talking about... ===================================================================== 2000: P&O Group decided to spin off its cruise division, which included P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, and other brands, into a separate company called P&O Princess Cruises. This move allowed the company to focus more on its ferry and port operations. 2003: Carnival Corporation & plc acquired P&O Princess Cruises for £3.5 billion, integrating it into its portfolio of cruise brands. 2006: The remaining ferry operations, including P&O Ferries, were sold to DP World, a Dubai-based logistics company, marking the final separation of the two businesses. P&O Cruises are Owned by Carnival Corporation & plc, a U.S.based cruise operator P&O Ferries are Owned by Dubai based DP World. 7

Did they reject any? I'm not so sure. I imagine we took whoever offered the most money/perks. Given that 'Midnite' are the new training kit sponsors, I dont think the club has made any stance against betting companies and taking their money (makes a pleasant change!)

Only marginally less unethical. They exploit minimum wages rules around the world. Pump out shit into the atmosphere, dump waste at sea. A whistle blower was once awarded £1m in compensation for highlighting dodgy procedures onboard ships. There's a reason Extinction Rebellion targeted their AGM a few years ago. 1

East Kent Saint Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago There was a big protest about P&O when they sacked all their staff as it affected people in Kent . P&O got away with it as Govt doesn’t seem to have much control over anything relating to international business . Companies find it easy to , on paper , sell bits off etc to get their way in the end . I don’t know what the real situation is between P&O and P&O . It’s difficult to believe people like Green ran a chain of shops in the UK while all the £ was siphoned off via numerous offshore trusts ending up in another trust in his wife's name in Monaco. 2

Have a read of Nolan's post a couple of hours ago. The difference between P & O Ferries who operate Ferry Services out of Dover and P & O Cruises who operate cruise ships out of Southampton is worth a read. 2
