Turkish Posted Saturday at 20:59 Posted Saturday at 20:59 From 9-0 to our dumping ground. Hopefully Rusty will take over soon and take Gav “if I was looking for a keeper it’d be him” Bazunu off our hands to complete the set. Hopefully our new, immovable defence can repel any attacks they have and our goal machine new striker can continue his record of a goal every 24 minutes to give us a comfortable victory
Football Special Posted Saturday at 21:05 Posted Saturday at 21:05 (edited) Strange game, playing them twice in the space of a few days. Obviously Leicester are without a permanent manager currently and on a poor run of results, but when I look at their starting XI it really isn't that bad. They've had a man sent off in both of their last two games so results a bit distorted playing with 10 men. I fear Tonda tries to counter Leicesters pace and makes changes at the back. Some thoughts from the opposition : https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/138764-southampton-h-tuesday-745pm/#comments Edited Saturday at 21:05 by Football Special
Football Special Posted Saturday at 21:08 Posted Saturday at 21:08 We've only sold a few hundred tickets for this, looks set to be comfortably our smallest away following for the last few seasons 1
Turkish Posted Saturday at 21:08 Posted Saturday at 21:08 I see they signed Lascelles should be a good signing for them 1

And the fans seemingly aren't seeing any signs of anything positive. We need to get at them early and get the fans on their backs immediately. 2
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 21:43 Posted Saturday at 21:43 Just found this posted on their thread about signing Joe Aribo 🤣🤣 6

But if helps them stay up it’s a very worthwhile signing.
Hodgey Posted Saturday at 23:29 Posted Saturday at 23:29 One thing for sure - we are going to need to keep Fatawu quiet. I’m just hoping that Tonda doesn’t think we need to rotate and go back to ‘no manning land’ against the best winger in this division. 1
sledger Posted Saturday at 23:41 Posted Saturday at 23:41 i hope not its because we now have 2 dependable full backs that the defence has looked a lot tighter
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 23:41 Posted Saturday at 23:41 Think we can take ‘em. 0-9…[cough] 1-2.

Otherwise its just the gey dots in M2 and M3 about 340!!

Good for the drinkers as won't be a queue not for a piss HT. Do I need to bring some books for the Saints library!
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 00:25 Posted yesterday at 00:25 Can see a flukey Leicester win to bring us back down to earth. But then I think we’ll beat them on the cup down here.
benjii Posted yesterday at 04:57 Posted yesterday at 04:57 Defence unchanged. Maybe bring Charles in for Jander (assuming Downes fit) just to keep people on their toes. Hopefully Larin pushes for a starting spot in time, but he's probably still getting up to speed.

M1 never on sale and half the grey dots in m3 were already showing when went on sale must be player comps etc. Which we know are sometimes left empty anyway, tiny away support
SNSUN Posted yesterday at 07:12 Posted yesterday at 07:12 They think their full backs are awful - Thomas and Ricardo Pereira. If they play, we need Leo and Tom to rip them apart. Apparently Lascelles had a decent debut but he's no spring chicken. Aribo in midfield speaks for itself. They won't have Decordova-Reid as he was sent off who is one of their better players. Their strikers are also shite. Basically if we can keep Mavididi and Fatawu quiet (Bree and Welington need to be as good as they were yesterday) then we should be able to get a result. Reading their forum they think they should be building their team around their younger players, Monga, the recently loaned Mukasa, Kristiansen and Aluko. It will be interesting to see how many of them play on Tuesday. As for us, I'd start with an unchanged team again providing Downes is fit (Charles if not). That means Stewart starts again with Cyle to come off the bench later on. A point isn't enough against them if we want to get to that play-off spot really - they are in disarray so this is one of the remaining fixtures we should be looking to get three points from. BUT we have to play better offensively than yesterday.
LiberalCommunist Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Beat them on Tuesday, and I'd gladly give them the cup game.

AlexLaw76 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I am sure their lightening quick wingers will score.
SNSUN Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Just realised Aribo can't play against us. That's a shame. 😁 Harry Winks the obvious replacement then.

Maybe now we're in a bit of form and it looks like we have something to fight for, it's just a one off. I'll be there in any case. 1

Probably been quite a long time since such a low one in the league.
Willo of Whiteley Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago If Flynn Downes is fit he needs to lay one on their CMs early and they’ll crumble. Leicester are so hit and miss. Score could be anything.

Rochdale we took good numbers as it was rearranged and lots wanted to tick the ground off?, in fact that season was impressive Hartlepool midweek had about 800 up there , Oldham is a good shout midweek in January but again was a ground we hadn't played at for a while. Leicester seems to be perfect storm of short notice/ midweek / poor form / played there loads (every year) , didn't expect it to be popular but thought we'd get at least 1000 up there
Tommy Mulgrew Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Goalkeeper alert: someone should tell our new Israeli recruit to beware of Begovic. 🙂

On the other hand the "winning team" included Charles, Larin and Edozie. I suspect Charles will start regardless of Downes' fitness. But I suspect he will start with Scienza (unless his poor performance yesterday was in part due to some minor issue) and Stewart. It would be good to see a largely settled side, it does almost pick itself now. Hopefully Bragg will be back on the bench.

Probably get a few lastminute, coms, so should have similar numbers to what Leicester brought to St Mary's recently. This is an easy midweek away game to give a swerve tbf.

macca155 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago No Bragg for the U21s so he may be in contention if Downes is unfit. I'm not sure Charles is a Downes replacement, nowhere near the energy levels.
markr27 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Peretz Bree THB Stephens Welington Downes/Charles/Bragg Jander Fellows Azaz Scienza Stewart ...on Tuesday could easily become McCarthy Jelert Wood Quarshie Manning Charles Bragg Robinson Matsuki Edozie Larin ...on Saturday 1
Dr Who? Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago This fixture really does not do it for the masses. I do think we have a great chance of winning this, as they are all over the place.
St. Ciervo Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Beat them bad enough, we can force them to hire RM. Please show me there is a God!
