Football Special Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago 28 minutes ago, CSA96 said: Daily Mail: Middlesbrough have caught what is thought to be a Southampton first-team analyst allegedly recording their training session from a bush, in a sensational repeat of the Marcelo Bielsa ‘spygate’ furore. Daily Mail Sport can reveal that an individual was spotted and approached by club staff on Thursday morning at Boro’s Rockliffe Park training centre, 48 hours before Kim Hellberg’s side host Tonda Eckert's Saints in the Championship play-off semi-final first leg. It is claimed the male deleted video and pictures from his mobile phone and refused to identify himself. He then left the site of the training ground and made his way into the nearby Rockliffe Hall Hotel, owned by Boro chairman Steve Gibson, before changing clothes in a toilet and leaving the area. It is understood Boro have contacted the EFL, given spying on opposition training would breach the League’s rules. We are aware of the individual allegedly involved and his public profile pages identify him as a current employee of Southampton. Could we be expelled from the competition?

EssEffCee Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Spy, spy, wherever we may be. We are the famous Southampton FC. And we've got some mush, hiding in your trees. And we'll spy our way to Wembley. 10 10

I'm going to set up a social media profile saying I work for Middlesbrough, then head to Staplewood in a Middlesbrough Polo shirt, take a few photos of us training, then make sure I get caught. Job done. Even Stephens. Both expelled from the competition, Easy ride for Hull or Millwall. 1 2
SouSaint Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Well, I'm sure this won't come back to bite us on the backside. 🙄
sockeye Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I think following Leeds in 2019 you can get a points deduction for it now. We'd need to get a 10+ point deduction for us to land outside of the play-offs. Would be a bit over the top

Willo of Whiteley Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Must be a slow news day. I’m sure the social EFL pages/accounts will absolutely lap it up.
Willo of Whiteley Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It genuinely doesn’t strike me as a thing the club would do. 1

This rubber stamps it. 2

How do they know he was Recording anything and then saw him deleting the files. Would have to be mighty close to him to confirm that. Surely they would have taken a photo to prove it. Then after the altercation they went searching online For a pic to confirm it was a saints employee. All a bit far fetched to me. 1
