Assuming that saints will never be allowed to play again, what happens to the stadium? Can eastleigh use it maybe? Would be kind of fun to have a 30k stadium and we all switch to support Eastleigh through the various fun leagues.

And what happens to the player contracts etc? Do they just get cancelled?

If it is the 'nuclear' option, they've probably got a much longer statement to prepare compared to if it was just a fine and/or points deduction? To me, it's bad news if they've made a decision but aren't ready to announce it tonight.... #gutfeeling

The charge relates to Boro only, but the tribunal can consider any evidence it thinks relevant, and decide the importance and credibility of that against the charges.

I've said above that the tribunal is adversarial cum inquisitorial, meaning it referees the scrap between us and the EFL, but also digs in as it needs to in order to get the information it thinks it needs. It's hard to see what other clubs could say that's relevant, but it's not beyond belief that they've had a say.

If there’s been a decision and they’re not worried about leaving announcing it until tomorrow, strongly suggests there’s no massive logistics operation required as a result of the decision.

Only the EFL could present that evidence, and that's the same EFL that have just given us an increased ticket allocation...

It’s not bizarre it’s a bloody disgrace. The cup final was last Sat, it’s inconceivable we wouldn’t know who was playing, or even if the game was going ahead, until the Weds before. The press would be all over it for one thing, you can’t tell me they’d do this to City or Chelsea or other big clubs. The EFL are showing what a fucking noddy outfit they are.

You would hope so. But I don't trust that the concerns of the 80,000 or so people who are planning the weekend would be considered.

Well as we live in a cancel culture then that obvious takes care of the players, sorry lads you’re cancelled 

the stadium can be used to concerts, the end of the Southampton marathon and espionage training seminars and got Bournemouth to play their champions league games at

The statement said we've admitted to the charges. Can't see why we'd appeal except against the level of punishment. I think we'll just have to accept this one.

Now its on the club to explain wtf they are going to do, to stop it happening again.

Don't wanna be "that guy" but a lot of people repeatedly laughed at me and called me mental for saying this was clearly still a real possibility. Lots of people on here laughing at Boro for being in an echo chamber without realising this place had become one itself.
