I don't think the conclusion you can draw from his quotes is that we wouldn't be selling them. What he said is that clubs would have to pay a higher price for their services.

Assuming the players we sign are solid you'd have to say that's a pretty decent championship team. Maybe three signings after Neil. Maybe 15-20 million for those? 60 million profit is about what we were told we needed right?

We won't be selling Ramsdale for that amount. Expect we will end up loaning him out again.

I love definitive posts like this when you have no idea what will actually happen. I’m sure West Ham will want to shift him on but whether they can is another matter. Odds are he probably will go but I wouldn’t be as certain as you are.

Really not difficult to come to that conclusion is it. He is obviously going to leave whether a transfer or on loan this summer. There's about ten other sources at various times in the last six months.

I can only see Ramsdale going to Leeds or Ipswich. Darlow (Leeds) is 35 and zi think Ipswichs group are not particularly the best. Coventry will presumably look to make Rushworth permanent or another loan, and Hull probably wouldn't spend the money on AR given they have a Croatian international GK (even though hes not yet started a game for Croatia I dont think). 

All other EPL options will only see AR as a back-up option. 

Maybe there could be an overseas option but we might not see much money for him.

Much too gloomy. He's a good player and will get a better club than you fear. Bournemouth might take him back and even Villa as a  back-up

Finances though innit? Not really disputing that West Ham will want to shift him (“probably” for the benefit of the anally retentive MLG) but if no one meets their demands then they may have no option. It’s not unrealistic or uncommon for that to happen. Anyway, bored of this, crack on, it’s really not a big deal or that complicated to understand

Of course they will. If that happens they will do what we have done countless times. He will go on loan with West ham paying a percentage of his wages.

We didn’t with either Edozie or Aribo last season. Aribo obviously did in January but we wanted shot in the summer. Bella Kotchap similarly the season before that.

No idea what happened with Edozie but it sounded like we had something lined up but it fell through. We did with Sugawara, Onuachu before that, lyanco, perraud, djenepo, caleta-car and then Alcaraz in the January. Obviously we did it with Ramsdale last season (although as it was a Prem loan we didn't pay any wages) as well as smallbone, Larios and then Downs.

Why not, he done ok at Newcastle and could be a starter for a few PL teams. No incentive for the club to loan him again and his value depreciate futher. Best to sell him, especially now we've got Peretz and £20m would be the going rate for a keeper with significant PL experience. Hes only 28 too

Aribo was in the exact same situation as JWP, last year of his contract and not going to move unless it suited him so it’s not really pedantry but a factor that doesn’t suit your argument.  For what it’s worth, I think he probably will leave, it was you that doesn’t even entertain the idea that he might stay.

Because he has nearly 200 PL appearances, was the Arsenal number 1 and an England international for a while. Yes clubs will know we're looking rid and will try to haggle us down, but hes a very good keeper and there is a need for that.

Understand us loaning him last season as he could have come back into fold had we got promoted. But now we've Peretz, it makes no sense to agree to any loan. Need to sell, even if that means we only get 15m
