It's not about what I want, it's what I think will happen. Ramsdale and Bazunu will be off either sold or on loan so we will need a third keeper. Probably a youngster.

A lot of clubs opt for the opposite and go for a veteran as 3rd choice.

In which case, I'd be all over the Stephen Mfuni deal Coventry have walked away from. Get him in alongside Tay (& give Tay the captain's armband).

Certainly, don't let him go to Watford or Derby

Lazio have just agreed a deal for Sassuolo striker Andrea Pinamonti for €14m...could pave the way for Ratkov (who was an unused sub against Bologna) to move to saints...

Can't see us signing another forward until BBD, Downs and/or Archer are flogged.

Agree. Plus what are the attributes of this Ratkpv guy? Does he have pace? I think he's a target man tbf so could do the Ross Stewart job.

Yes, I believe that BBD and Downs are very close to moves. Should be very clear when the squad is announced for tomorrow. We do indeed need to sell to buy. 

I think we will buy @

Not sure about pace but the lad looks about as close to a Stewart replacement as you can get in the videos I've seen.  Have to bear in mind it's the Austrian league so the quality isn't that great but there's been some decent "big man" strikers developed in Austria like Haaland, Sesko, Hojlund.  Anyway, video:

Cheers. I assume if this comes off that Mubama is the Archer replacement and this bloke is Stewart. Might be a job keeping them all happy though you'd expect a fair amount of rotation.

Yep and you can also see why we might be linked with a right winger (hopefully one with pace.) If Archer goes then really our only option with some zip is Edozie and I think that makes our team a bit predictable and easier to play against.

I feel like BBD, Downs and Ramsdale will take the hit on. We’re never recouping any of their transfer fees.

For Ramsdale I was told last year that Newcastle fully covered his wages and the loan fee covered our installment to Arsenal for that season so that at least recouped 1/4 of the transfer fee.

We didn’t “cave” on the fee for Charles. Why would we “cave” here?

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Didn't appear that Charles particularly pushed for a move. Might need different with THB.
