got to get Maduke off at half time

The sad reality is he's both shite and our most effective creative player.

England might turn this around, but this squad is nowhere near the elite.

It’s been poor for me so far. Wanted Netherlands, Germany and Japan to win the other night and they all lost. Mexico are my other team now and they will play Congo! 😉

Under appreciated post... although you missed a few.

TT said he had picked players for the system, not necessarily the best players.

That's  correct he made a big point about that. But what is the system anyone know ?

In the old days 70sand 80s players would ride a tackle or jump over keeper get ball and tap in for a goal. You have to go down now even if you could try and score.

Wondered this as well. Kanes fall looked a bit theatrical when he went down, and have to wonder if he could have stayed on his feet.

I’m on holiday and thought no problem 1am on Monday morning v Mexico with no work. I am one of the many arrogant English bastards

I thought foul at first, but there was hands on so a pen for me.

He wasn't actually tripped, was he?

Secure a contract extension then get sacked for failing miserably and paid off?

The more I think about it the more angry I get that Trent isn’t here.

Real madrids right back on the beach while we watch this lot stink the place out. Only England would be this stupid

If our performance level increases 50%, we may become shit rather than utterly fucking shit.

One angle showed the keeper make contact - hand on the ankle. But Kane was already waiting to go down, with the ball quite a bit ahead of him.

Too theatrical for the official's liking. I'm still thinking it was a penalty though.

The most frustrating aspect for me is the lack of any urgency.

Yep. And movement. In the first half, only Bellingham, and to an extent Madueke and Spence, looked interested. Sadly only 1 of them offered any quality.

Watching the replays again just now, it does look like Kano left his right foot down, making no attempt to jump over the keeper's hand, and engineered the contact. So I can see why it wasn't given.

I hadn't notice that, but if the keeper charges at him, I think he's entitled to leave his leg in. Surely it's for the keeper making the challenge to avoid contact, not for Kane to get out of his way. Academic now anyways.

Keeper having a worldie.

Getting to the point I'm not sure if I'll cheer if we score.

Second choice in Ligue 1. Would have cost a fraction of Bazunu fee or McCarthy wages.

How can this German prick not bring Saka on?

Not fully fit. He looked a bit dull last game. What you've got to ask is why we didn't bring better options.

Madueke is worse than several wingers we came against in League 1.

Puncheon would have offered more than this bloke.
