We can still stay up.

As unlikely as it seems we will stay up by 1 point.

Norwich lose 2-1 at Ipswich tomorrow.

We beat Burnley 1-0 next week

Forest lose 1-0 at Blackpool

Norwich lose 1-0 at home to Reading.

We win 2-1 at Forest

Norwich win 2-1 at Charlton.

Bottom 3 at the end of the season.

FOREST

NORWICH

CHARLTON

Its possible.

Possible but it won't happen. I think Norwich will win at least one of their games. Ipswich are shocking at home and Reading are in dreadful form so they'll be fine. I think Forest will beat Blackpool and then probably beat us too.

I think that's so much more likely, but you never know eh?

Relegation is not the problem really.

If we are taken over then it has to be by someone with a bit of cash, which gives us half a chance.

IF they mount a serious campaign to win back fans and rebuild, we may even sell (at the right price) 20k Season Tickets.

And then we can have a promotion campaign with a brave new English manager to look forward to.

Someone who can start work from May onwards and really BUILD a club to be proud of - without any of the current morons involved.

We can still stay up, but it's all very well looking at what we need other teams to do - yep they probably will **** up, but we need to do our part and to be totally frank we don't have a manager who can motivate the team.

I have been saying all along, that we are Saints fans and while we should be supporting the team, we have to be realistic and the results you have predicted above are heavily biased.

We will not beat a Burnley team who are very much in the playoffs and fighting to keep their place there.

We will not beat a Forest team determined to get out of the relegation mess they find themselves in (unlike our bunch of useless jizz stains who are happy to accept their fate and bend over to take the full length of it).

Blackpool have nothing to play for and Forest will quite easily turn them over. And finally, Ipswich have nothing to play for (while it maybe a local derby) Norwich will win this one.

I like you enthusiasm, but we are f*cked

To be fair you could say that you are being equally biased. It's just as likely that all results will go for us as all results going against us.

Don't worry. At 5:30 p.m after beating Nottingham Forest 3-2 in real thriller and avoiding relegation by the skin of our teeth, the Football League will announce a 10 point deduction for entering administration...

And there lies the other major factor as to why results are meaningless. I dont know if that would be more of a kick in the teeth, having managed to pull of a miracle, only to be kicked in the knuts

Possible, but highly unlikely

We have Two MUST win games .... it aint gonna happen .......

There are no straws left to clutch

The only thing remaining is for someone to write the Season's Obituary ..

"Here lies a Once proud Premier Club, destroyed by one man and his ego, who insisted on playing a "Total Football" concept, under Two untried and untested Dutch Cheeses, with scant more than what had been the best of the Academy players, once all recognised Strikers had been sold or loaned out to othe CCC Teams, and effectively scored Goals against us "

We rest easy in the knowledge that that man, Mr Lowe, sees himself blameless in anything to do with this season .... (Nigel Pearson included), and is waiting in the wings, ready and willing to come back and help out the Club he loves so dearly

as the players rolled over so easily today i have decided to do the same and admit defeat.

it is still possible for us to stay up but i dont think the players are capable of doing so.

we havnt lost our championship status this week or next we have lost it from day one,we have been poor all season and deserve to be where we are and deserve to be relegated.

it is hard to swallow but i dont think i am as gutted about this relegation as i was about our prem relegation.

this has been a slow lingering death which has taken years so it was expected, unlike the prem relegation which was a relative overnight illness in comparison.

This team can't and won't make any effort , so why bother with a thread clutching at straws......... they simply have not performed all season.......and have no urgency......... clear the decks.....get rid of them all and start again.........take the pain and move on........hopeless all of them.....*(except KD)

not even the most optimistic person on this forum could seriously think were going to stay up, the players are even fighting, at forest the players are passionate about staying up, and most of the other teams are actually winning, this team is spineless , has no leader, no proven goalscorer and a shaky defence and thats why were going down, we need to all accept it that were not good enough to stay up and havent been all season , for next season to stand any chance of going up we need to strengthen because I couldn't see this squad getting promoted in league 1

I have said before, i am usually optimistic right to the last. And unfortunately i believe this to be the last. I have lost my hope as i feel our southampton team has lost their passion.

I believe if Wotte had been in charge from the start we may have made it out but this season has been a laughing stock for a club of our size and history.

Horribly all those moments i spent laughing at my mate who is a leeds fan has come and bit me in my ass.

Atleast the clowns have left the establishment, time to start from scratch.

May i say, appart from a few dodgy team selections, well done Wotte, you got closer to getting us out then we all thought you would.

I hope i am proved wrong, but i doubt it.

I must be mad, but now the dust has settled i do think we can still do it.

We can beat Burnley at home - we're the home side.

We can beat Forest - they are down there for a reason.

You've got to have hope.

Where is the famous Saints fighting spirit, the players need to ensure that we get max 6 points, and see what happens............But this is not the Saints of Old and I do believe that we are on the way to league 1 without a whimper, dont mind kickin and screamin'

I'm sorry to say, but back in the old days of the PL survivals, the club still had a heart.

That is all gone now. Of the players almost none have any real affinity with the club beyond the next cheque (surman excepted), and neither does he manager, and we don't have a board of directors.

Its all gone. The only ones left who care are the fans.

The team has no fighting spirit, certainly not enough. The Charlton game proved that, and no doubt todays capitulation did too.

We fans may have to show fighting spirit to keep our club alive, but hoping that the first team squad will chip in with some is a long shot.

Yes possible but highly improbable. And to even entertain the possibility that relegation can be avoided requires ignoring all the evidence of the 44 games Saints have played this season.

Utter dross and downhill all the way since Judas Wilde brought Lowe back, showed Pearson the door, got in the two dutch numpties, loaned out all our decent forwards and brought in Robertson, Peckart, Sneiderlin, Wotton, Molynuex, Gasmi, Pulis and the 'world class' Smith.

We deserve to go down because we're not good enough. On and off the field this season has been a disgrace. The lack of heart and spine is unacceptable.

Anyway we've got bigger problems than which league we're in next season. Still need to fill the ground for Burnley to show would-be owners that the fans care even if the team don't.

Then I'd like to see a firesale of players - get rid of 'em. We need to spring clean the negativity out of the place. Even those who've done OK this season will have been scarred by it and we can't afford to have the ghosts of the worst season in this club's history hanging around the training ground in July and August (if we still exist).

Brave new world, and a long road ahead.
