I'm going, the club needs it's fans to and it's a tenner so I can make it.

Got my season ticket and looking forward to the start of the season but hope the Hearts will give us the chance at a first look over some new signings.

I'll be at Lords. Its a shame that they fall on the same day because I would love to have seen my two teams battle it out!

Also want to see Pardew in action on the sidelines and see what impact he's made

I remember our trip to Bucharest from Heathrow had quite a few Hearts fans on their way to a Waffer cup game. - To our disgust, (and it very nearly kicked off at 35,000ft) a few of them had Hearts/Pompey badges on. Can't remember the tie up between them but sure they said there was one. So, have the fishy one's got a game Sat? could well decide to support their Sweaty brothers?

I'm going and looking forward to it big time for three reasons:

1. I am taking my three and a half year old daughter to her first ever football match. She is quite mature for her age and I think she is now starting to get to the age that she will appreciate it. As it is only a pound I thought it would be a good chance to see how she handles it.

2. I have only been to a match at St Mary's twice before as I live up north so, as I am down visiting my parents on holiday, I thought it was too good a chance to miss.

3. I am keen to support Saints in the new era and to see how things are beginning to take shape in the early days of AP's managerial reign.

Anyone know if there will be a family centre area for this match and if it is open to anyone with kids or only members?

The Chapel stand is the family enclosure. Should be on general sale like the rest of the ground.

chapel is family stand but you can sit wherever you like ,i take my 2 in northend of kingsland they love it :),,for a first game for anyone i suggest kingsland on the halfway line:)

Err, don't get this - my two tickets have seat numbers on 'em! And I am NOT moving for nobody! Taking Mrs CaM so watch out.

Can't wait to see how AP is shaping the team after a week. Really hope we'll see some new names on the pitch.

I will be there watching to see what influence the new manager has had on the players that played against Ajax.

I am hoping to see 4-4-2, a defence that doesn't sit in front of the goalkeeper all game and the desire to attack.A couple of new signings would be good also.

A.P. will have had 5 days to change some attitudes and bad habits, i am hopefull.

Don't mention 4-4-2 it's not allowed on here. Anything that's narrow and doesn't work will do nicely.

I thought AP prefers to play a 4-5-1 so there may not be much 4-4-2 talk on here!

I bet it won't be anything like the 4-5-1 we played against Ajax. Plenty of width and 3/4 players breaking fast out of the middle supporting the striker.

Would like to see the team line up like this:

GK: Kelvin

DR: Murty

DL: Harding

DC: Perry

DC: Thomas

MR: Thompson

ML: Mills

MC: Wotton

MC: Schneiderlin

S: Lallana

S: John

Still weak in the centre of the park, but as good a team as any right now. I do like the look of the back 4...

Wotton just gives the ball away all the time. Lallana won't get you goals.

I'd like to see Gillett and Schneiderlin tried together, John and Raziak tried together but with Saganowski wide right (as for Poland)

I'll be there. Mrs Nelson won't, but I'm bringing a mate instead. I wouldn't miss this one for the world.

What we will see on Saturday will show us what we can expect in terms of tactics for the rest of the season: Lone striker? Wingers? How will he employ Lallana? What will he do with Gillett, Wotton and Schneiderlin? Etc.

The players who haven't played for their lives until the end won't be seen again for a long time, if ever.

Hopelessly optimistic I think we might actually win it. If not I won't mind if we have given it a bl**dy good go.

.

I think that when Pardew's squad nears completion we will start to see some versatility in tactics to suit different oppositions. One of the problems last year was that after a few weeks other teams sussed us. An experienced manager would not allow that to happen.

I'm so looking forward to seeing how AP's tactics develop.

Could be good.

I would expect Lallana to come on second half with instructions from AP. Lancashire will get another chance when Murty tires.

The only change i'd make would be Saga and John together first half and then Paterson and Rasiak for the second.

Lords for me +2.

What a shame this has been scheduled for the same day. I hope Markus knows ths and is not too upset with the turnout thinking that we lose to Ajax and then desert the team.

On holiday for Millwall but back for the Northampton game and now that I have the fixtures will work future holidays round them.
