Plus, why would he want to go to reading ?? We are clearly a team on the up, he has made us ATM a force in this division, has an executive team behind him that are willing to back him and from what we are led to believe patience. A bigger fan base, better facilities ?? Perhaps i am just biased ??

Smirking_Saint Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 reading this year remind me a lot of us last year. Crap up front, never look like scoring. Leaky at the back. Lacking confidence. Chairman skint. The only difference is that they are not heading for admin. Strange, i said at the end of last season that reading have had their day and if they are not careful they will drop back into league 1. You could see they would lose their better players once Coppell had moved on. They are in the sh*te. On another note, if pards and the team are there scouting (though i would imagine it was about antonio tbh) then the only real player i would be looking at (reading wise) would be Kebe. TBF, pearson has shown his quality and pedigree since leaving us and has turned himself into a very good manager. Now, before i go any further i in no way supported the old regime so lets get that clear. And i was also a little surprised to see him leave, especially when we brought in tweedle dee and tweedle dum. However, Pearson did not really have enough time here to warrant cult status, he did ok, he did what many other coaches would have done, kept it simple and tried to stop us leaking goals. He kept us up yes, but only just. The fickleness of some of us lot at times makes me laugh, if we had not been so lucky against sheff Utd what would you all have said ?? If he had got leicster relegated from league 1 ? What would be being said now ?? Fair play to him, he has proved to be a very astute signing for the foxes however it is in the past, and looking at how pards has addressed this challenge it is hard to fathom that pearson would have done any better. Don't be silly. Pearson inherited a Prem quality squad when he took over at Leicester. If you have a good squad, the manager is irrelevant, you should win most of the games you play. Winning the CCC is the absolute minimum you'd expect from any manager at that club. I'll sh*t myself laughing if Reading go down BTW.
